Great drinks and service. They have a lunch menu which is a nice surprise. I thought my salad was very generic tasting. The other two said food was ok. Nothing special. The place is huge so no wait.
this place was really a mixed bag. we ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer. for my meal, i had the build your own bbq platter and chose the pulled chicken and Louisiana style ribs. my sides were baked beans and watermelon. i had really high hopes after trying the free biscuits and the sweet tea, which were both amazing. as far as my meal goes, the ribs were alright. everything else was extremely mid, which was disappointing considering the price of everything. our server was having a really rough time with another table, and so we sat for several minutes with empty drinks at one point. unfortunately none of his coworkers stepped in to help him, and instead all stood near the server station socializing. overall the food was average, but combined with the bad service and the price ($91 for two people, and we didn’t even order alcohol! yikes!) i can’t really give this place more than 3 stars.
We decided to eat here for the first time Saturday while our daughter and niece were at prom we sat in the bar and were served by Krissy the bartender and I have to say he was definitely full of personality and was willing to put up with our crazy group without skipping a beat. He definitely made our Saturday night out worth the trip, he was so helpful and made the night a worthwhile experience. Drinks were great and food was good but the service is what made the night.
Appetiziers!Sent back the cracked deviled eggs because they looked like they were sitting in a freezer, and were tossed on a plate that was supposed to be on a bed of onion straws. We had barely any onion straws on the plate. The presentation was on par with a $1.25 taco bell taco. The only difference is I would eat a taco bell taco paying a $1.25, but I would never eat these "Cracked Deviled Eggs" for $10.99 :)Lunch menu!3 meat combo platter is seen here:Sliced brisket was burnt, tasteless, and tough.Pulled pork was greasy as hell and tasted mediocre. Only saving grace was the bbq sauce at the table so we could mask the taste of the pork. I could still only taste grease.Texas red hot sausage was also extremely greasy and that's all I could think about. If it wasn't for the grease of the sausage, I think overall it would have been a decent sausage; spicy as well! The green hatch chilli grits were fantastic! This LUNCH special 3 meat combo platter will run you $20.49 (+$1.99 or something for the green hatch chilli grits since that is a premium side). That seems hardly worth it. Even if the food wasn't atrocious, then the portion sizes were pretty small considering the price tag. We barely touched our food, so I guess it's irrelevant if it's inedible. The waiting staff were all very nice and kind to us which makes me feel bad for them because this is not their fault. I felt terrible sending back plates so we just asked for a to-go box. Ended up just leaving our barely touched plate at the table. If you ever unfortunately stumble upon this sorry establishment, at least treat yourself to the grits.Edit: They still bothered to charge us for the appetizer we sent back. Receipt in photos.Edit 2: We spoke with the manager and had our deviled eggs taken off. As I said, the staff and their service were extremely nice and courteous. The food is another story.
Ordered $165 of food for the family. We all gives this restaurant a rating of 2 stars but I added 1 more star as they reimbursed me for the item that was missing from the to-go-order and another item which was a salad. All salads must have dressing on the side for to-go-orders, they not only put it on the salad but put so much that it was hard to find the lettuce. We will not be going back to this restaurant.Update: it has been 2 hours since we ate and all of our stomachs hurt. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. Don’t go here.
We were here once before and and things were fine. Tonight must have been an off night for them. Got there at 630pm and for your food at 8pm. Service was good but the kitchen was slow. I got the fish and it was good. My wife got the sirloin steak with chimichurri and our friend got the bbq. My dish was the best one. My friend said that the bbq was very dry. My wife's plate was horrible. The dish was called chimichurri but they didn't put chimichurri on it. We had to ask for it after waiting an hour for our food. The potato had a moldy taste and she has to spit it out. It was bad. The beef was not eatable. The staff was very friendly and nice but we wish the meal could be better. The staff made it 3 stars. Otherwise, would have been a 1 star. They took my wife's meal off the bill but we most likely will not come back.
My wife and I were visiting the Phoenix area and decided on barbecue. Using Trip Advisor search feature we came across Lucille’s. Tie service was prompt, they have a good beer selection. My wife had the smoked brisket sandwich and I had the beef tip sandwich. Both came with a side order of French fries and coleslaw. Both selections were very tender and flavorful. It would be a worth a return trip if we didn’t live so far away (Michigan) The only draw back was the fries tasted stale(?) Almost like they were cooked previously kept under some sort of heat. Not good. We had ordered an appetizer but never received it and not sure if that part of the order was misplaced or simply forgotten. And it’s just as well we didn’t get the appetizer since the meal was plenty. I
The whole experience was great! We are from N.C. and we have come to visit family three times in the last nine years. Every time we come, we make sure we come to Lucille‘s to eat. Our favorite place!
Waited over half hour for mediocre salad. Menu said “fresh salad greens” and it came with chunks of iceberg lettuce only. Our 3rd visit here and our last.
They are very professional and pleasant. Nice service.
