I wanted to like this place...The service was truly atrocious, I think I actually aged while waiting for a drink, which was ordered, 20 mins later the waitress came back w 2nd drinks for others at our table, and I had to ask again for my first!! We are 30 mins in, no drink, no food order placed yet - and they actually have a notice on the table that they expect you to not be at your table for more than 2 hours???Anyway, took 35 mins to get a drink, another 40 mins for food to arrive which came out in stages, so we did not all start at the same time it was taking so long. The seafood wasn't bad - good catfish- the etouffe tasted like it came out of a can, the calamari was ok but cut so thin and fried it killed the flavor, and the boil items.... beyond messy, I get its meant to be messy but they didn't even bring utensils for the crab legs, had to finally go get them ourselves.Just disappointing ALL around and will not return. Stick with Angry Crab, Pier 88 or Krazy Cajun.... for your seafood boil experience - none of them touch the true Louisiana experience but.... HnJ you have some work to do....
I wouldn't come back. The king crab legs were NOT "king". They were barely Red Lobster size. The atmosphere reminded me of a Popeye's, but with seafood.I was still hungry after spending $90 on The King, that I had to order another entrée.
seems like a mix of fresh and frozen ? spending some time in NOLA I have come accustomed to a certain level crewfish.... I have learned to tell if they where dead before the where boiled, boiled before or after being frozen and so forth.... but this is as close as I can get so far in AZ.that being said it's very nice building in a popping location makes for a easy night out.staff are a great bunch, friendly, helpful and, full of energy. which is why I keep returning.is there or will there be a way to get notifications of when fresh crawdads are in store?
very clean establishment, my server was awesome however the food comes out here and there... The seasoning is not to great I was not expecting my food to be sweet and spicy the parking is horrible. I would not eat here again. The shrimp was hard to peel. Sticking to angry ? the best in Arizona!
We usually order online and pick up for take out. Our food is always great and never have issues. Today we asked for 5 extra seasonings and we got one small bag. I asked the young lady who gave us our order for more because the small bag did not look like 5. She stated they put the seasonings in bags now. We had just ordered a few days prior and got 2 containers when we ordered 2 extra. This bag definitely does not look like 5 seasonings. I tried to ask for more and she stated I had to pay more. Make sure you ask for sauce in the containers.
4 stars because of PARKING, they do not validate ticket from center point garage even though it is suggested when you call their number and press 4. It was misleading and had we known they do not cover parking we would have probably paid the meter instead since I’m pregnant with swollen feet and the meter is closer.Other than that it would have been 5 stars because food was delicious and server was awesome and made sure we had what we needed. Manager was also nice but unfortunately could not help me with the parking situation and I didn’t expect him to since they have no control over their prompt system on the phone! If your going to eat here expect at least a 20-30 seating wait time. Food was pretty prompt despite it being pretty busy this Sunday evening. We’d probably go again but we would definitely get organized on the parking situation.
I'd like to point out that parking is a bit of an issue. The service was mediocre the server had an attitude and tried to hide it and I seen right through it. She just throws the bucket on the table and the drinks. We had to ask for refills since she only checked on us once, that really shows alot and I tip based on performance. The chicken tenders really crispy and fresh but it just tasted fishy. However, the shrimp as always is spot on!? I always prefer the spicy garlic, they should consider serving lobster. I'd like to try it the same way as I would the shrimp.
I give HnJ Five stars because we had an awesome waitress, the food was amazing, and our experience was great! We got the drol and it was a lot of food! The seasonings were perfect! I prefer mild but there was more spicier choices! We will return! XOXO
After going to Fat Tuesdays for the Mardi Gras party, I decided to go to Hot and Juicy due to the fact that Fat Tuesday's food was a bit pricey and the drinks seemed watery. The only reason that I am giving hot and juicy four stars is because when we got there at about 8:30, we were told that we could not sit outside on the patio as per our request. I am not sure if they were just short staffed but the sign on the door said that they did not close until 10 o'clock PM.There was a 20 minute wait to be seated which would not have been bad if when we decided to take our food to go we still ended up having to wait 20 minutes or more. As usual, the food was great. You can never go wrong eating at Hot and Juicy. I will definitely go back as I am from Louisiana, and I love seafood. I would definitely refer everyone to this tasty establishment.
I did a pick up at this location got home and was ready to eat dinner and noticed they didn’t put any sausage. So I call to request a refund and dude wanted me to drive 1 hr to go show him my bag didn’t have any sausage. And the employees was extremely rude over the phone.
