Food is great, good beer selection, could be better. Great happy hour specials.Bread/crust/pretzels etc are amazing.
Grab a spot at the bar top, have a couple beers, and maybe a cocktail or two if you have a safe way home.The pizza is artisanal St. Louis style flatbreads, I enjoyed the Margherita topped with red sauce, and mozzarella harmoniously layered paired with fresh basil leaves on top.They have a nice selection of affordable whisky's and the bartender makes a killer bee's knees, it's not sweet like some recipes call for so be prepared for a flavorful embodied experience. I also ordered an old fashion w/ japanese whiskey (in the image) and it was fantastic.
Freely is the best!! The staff are super friendly, the cocktails are creative and delightful, and the food is very tasty! Definitely one of my favorite places to go post up at the bar and have a good time. Freely always promises a good experience and great time! So happy to have you guys in the neighborhood!
We’ve been here a number of times now and keep coming back and bringing friends! Laid back atmosphere, great beer selection (bonus points for always having ciders and sours on the menu), good food, and really friendly staff. Not a huge menu but they do everything really well! We love the soft pretzel and meat-za flatbread.
The flatbreads are the best around! A great variety of taps. The owner, Paul, very friendly. Will definitely go back.
Hard to find a place like this in South Tempe, but it's been done! Broad variety of beer on tap with good prices and amazing food, all made possible by excellent staff. Also, if you're into a nice bourbon or cocktail Freely has also done a good job of one, bringing in just the right amount to select from and two, bartenders that can deliver (see Gabe if you get the chance). Highly recommend!
It is refreshing to be able to find tasty healthy food choices and excellent beer choices all in the same place! The atmosphere was comfortable and the service was friendly and accommodating. I will be going back to try some more of the interesting beer choices.

A close friend suggested we meet at Freely Taproom for drinks and a bite. Holy cow! We were blown away! They have excellent beers on tap, but their food....OMG THEIR FOOD!! Outstanding! Normally when you hear the word 'flatbread' you immediately think terrible dry squares (basically oversized crackers). Freely's flatbread are artisanal pizzas. Fresh ingredients atop pillowy dough. Delish! Thank you, Freely! We'll be back!
This was my first time at Freely. We took advantage of one of the Tuesday specials… $25 bottle of wine and flatbread. Both were very very good! The food here is excellent, atmosphere is very comfortable, and people are very friendly. I will definitely be back!
