Pictured is the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket (sandwhich description: USDA Choice Beef Brisket, Cheddar, Mayo, Sweet Baby Ray's Barbecue Sauce) I ordered today from the Southern & McClintock shop. Somehow they forgot to include the barbecue sauce when I specifically asked them to not forget it since its been overlooked in the past at a different location. I also ordered extra Cheddar; however: single layer of cheese is what they used.Thinking twice about ever rounding up again for fire department equipment because I seriously question their ability to get the funds there lol.Update in response to management response:This was not a "custom order" (it's a brisket); barbecue sauce comes on this sandwich based on the description. How do you forget the BBQ? lol. Takes a lot or several fails for me to write a review, certainly for a negative one. I miss the days when ya didn't need to double check before leaving.
The quality has gone down hill big time ever since they got bought out. The bread doesn’t taste or look the same, the meat was cold, they used the wrong mustard and it was just globed on, the large amount of iceberg lettuce was totally unnecessary, and no side pickle after asking if I wanted one to which I said Yes. Bummed out cause I used to enjoy and speak highly of this place.
Slow service since there were only two workers, probably not their fault given the current US situation. My problem was I stated that mayo was the only sauce I wanted on my sandwich they did not follow through.
Good subs. I ordered a sandwich without mayo. I don't like mayo mainly because it is slathered on and makes a mess of a good sandwich. I don't like the taste either. What did I get? Slathered mayo mixed with mustard. I cannot eat another sub for a while. A hot mess of a sandwich, all slimey and overwhelmed with leaking mayo. I just wish people making a sandwich would listen closely to an order. I haven't been that lucky.
Second time trying Firehouse. I enjoyed the Cajun Chicken, definitely one of the best sub chains I've tried. Staff was friendly, will be back to try a different sandwich.
The Italian and the Smokehouse beef and Cheddar Brisket are my favorites. Hard to beat them. The app works great too if you want to order ahead to pickup.
Will literally never come here again. This is the 3rd time coming in and waiting 10+ minutes for a sandwich. All because there are 3 people in the back and you’ve got one poor girl up front trying to take orders and make sandwiches all by herself. Horrible leadership if this is how you treat your employees.
Firehouse is the only restaurant I've found that has a meatball sub I like. This is a firehouse, so their meatball sub is good.
Tonight was my last giving this place a try. This location takes awhile to take an order, and even longer to make it. I knew that so I ordered a takeout order. I waited for the pickup time then waited in the car bc I couldn't see the order out. After 5 mins of waiting I go inside to see if maybe I missed it, and that's when I'm told the order hasn't been started bc they're out of caramelized onions...... they can turn that off in the app, they can message me even. But no they waited til I came into say that then make it... that wouldn't be too rough but the sandwiches weren't good.
The kids here don't know how to made a sandwich. Normally Firehouse isn't bad. The one I just got was smothered in mayo and sloppily thrown together. And was untoasted when it should have been. It was honestly gross.
