My girlfriend and I decided to try a new pizza place today and Blaze definitely exceeded our expectations! Pizza was amazing and the salad made with fresh, quality ingredients! Marcus provided fantastic service from the moment we walked in. He built our pizzas to our liking while explaining their different topping options expertly. I ordered mine crispy and Marcus cooked it perfectly in less than 10 minutes. From door to food in less than 15 minutes and an amazing experience the entire way. 10/10 for Blaze.
Some of the staff were not respectful or showed care for the customers, and they spoke very unprofessionally to each other, loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear. They wouldn’t honor either of our coupons, when we wouldn’t have gone at all had we known they weren’t going to. Then, they charged an additional $3 per pizza for the high rise dough, even though their own signs say +$2.50. When we asked them about this, they weren’t kind, apologetic, didn’t seek to make our experience better in any way. The girl said that she couldn’t do anything about it because corporate is in charge of the signage, and turned the cash register computer around to show us the prices that it showed her/the prices in their system, and proceeded dismissed our concern. Aside from these things, the high rise dough tastes good, the red sauce is not very tasty (kind of sweet, tastes cheap), they go very skimpy on the cheese even though I asked for extra, and the vegan chorizo is overly spicy and doesn’t even have a good flavor. I appreciate them trying to offer vegan protein options, but also…no thank you. We won’t be returning to Blaze. Mod is less expensive, tastes better, and the staff is more courteous and professional, so that’s where we’ll be sticking to from now on. $28.86 for 2 high rise dough build-your-own pizzas. If it was a sit-down, that’d be appropriate, but nah bro. Lost my business.
Service was wonderful at Blaze Pizza in Tempe! I get the build your own for $10.95 and can add as many toppings as you want. Reasonable and delicious! I also enjoyed the outdoor patio. Also the Blood Orange lemonade was so good!!
Fantastic crew and super friendly. My BEST pizza stop in town. Hands down for hospitality.
Pizza was cool. Got gluten free crust. The employee said it takes longer to cook and don't really know if was cooked correctly with the middle being slightly gooey.Manager was talking so loud while we were ordering the workers could barely hear us until eye had to literally call him out. He was kinda rude, demanding his staff to do things. Nobody is really happy working there. The energy was really stiff. Eye had to ask them how they were doing because the energy was so off.Will probably go to a different location next time. Way better than MOD.
I love how unlike other pizza places, they offer many customizable options and unlimited toppings (at least for the 11'' pizza that I ordered). Every other pizza place I've ever ordered from charges you per topping, which quickly adds up / overpriced if you add a lot, but here I can order as much toppings as I want. The customization also includes Vegan cheese/dough (non dairy) for those who are lactose intolerance, or just pure vegan. I also liked the finishing options. Even the sides such as cheese breadsticks are customizable. I felt it was overall cheap compared to how it usually is. I ordered delivery, and I like how the box came with a sealed sticker to let the customer know if the deliverer took/messed with the items, as although rare sometimes happens. The only thing I didn't like was the pizza was a little bit oily, but because of everything else I gave 5 stars. The delivery was also a bit pricey as the $11ish became $19ish
Blaze is a hit or miss honestly! The first time I had it mind you I am GLUTEN FREE ! the first time the pizza was so amazing !!! I fell in love… it was the first time I ever had Dollops of Mariana on my pizza <3 went back a week later and idk maybe the person who made my pizza was heavy handed because the pizza had white sauce base and dollops but it was so much red sauce it over powered my pizza I was hurt :( but I can admit I did a survey and someone reached out and tried best to make up for the issue.
Went yesterday at around 6 pm , was greeted by a lady at the counter and as soon as she saw me she sighed so loud! Almost as if she was irritated to be working there . There was 3 people in front of me and the mess on the counters was absolutely ridiculous. there was sauces being contaminated by other sauces , the meats were all mixed in and overall it was very unpleasant service so we decided to leave without getting anything (we drove for around 40 minutes to get blaze pizza ) it is the first time I have a complaint about this establishment other times it has been the most amazing food .
This is a build your own pizza establishment. I know, gimmicky but the pizza crust was nice and crispy, the sauce flavorful and the toppings fresh. A pleasant surprise. Excellent!!
A good choice of toppings and fairly quick service. The toppings didn’t get cook that well and the crust was soggy. I would come back and give them another chance.
