I heard about 5th Street Burgers through Taste Tempe on IG and I’ve been looking forward to my visit! We tried the PB & PJ sliders, Bacon Cheddar sliders, Chili Cheese sliders, and the chicken strips with brown sugar bbq aioli. My favorites were the PB & PJ and chili cheese sliders with the toasted Hawaiian bun. I live in another state, but I’m adding 5th Street on my list for the next trip!
With family visiting from MD and we didn't want to eat at the zoo, did a quick search and saw this was close. Best decision to stop!! Food was EXCELLENT. Everything was awesome and the people were great as well.
Best burgers period. Great service
Great spot near to the airport and many hotels for an excellent burger.Located in a strip mall, this restaurant offers outdoor and indoor seating in a friendly space. I ordered take out. The menu offers myriad choices for burgers and I chose to try the steakhouse burger. There are multiple options for sides but I chose waffle fries. Combos are fairly priced. The food was out quickly and packed in high-quality take out containers. Everything about the place signaled that the staff put care into what they do.The staff had to deal with an incident with a homeless man and did so with tact and stayed calm. I was impressed with the young crew and how kind they were in general. The burger and fries were excellent and shockingly filling. This a thick patty and came loaded with toppings on a quality bun. I was impressed that the food stayed hot for a long time after I paid for it.
Pb&Pj burger was out of this world amazing loved the small heat from the pepper jelly jam in combination with the peanut butter.Definitely will be back to try other burgers on the menu. Hidden place that we never knew about till we saw clips on Instagram from azfoodie.
Couldn’t take a picture of my burger! But the Tempe burger was really good. Was in town visiting and saw a lot of good reviews about it and turns out the food was amazing! Went back a second time because I wanted to try a different burger and it was also as good!
I had the Tempe Burger with Pepperjack Cheese, Guac, Roasted Green Chile, thick cut bacon, and the garden. The burger was superb. The hamburgers at 5th Street have the Maillard reaction , a form of non-enzymatic browning that occurs in foods when proteins and/or amino acids chemically react with carbohydrates of reducing sugars. Applying heat during cooking accelerates and continues this intricate process, which elevates the taste, aromas, and appearance of food. The key to flavor development. The burger was served on a lightly toasted brioche bun. They have some creative sides and tasty beer battered onion rings. The waffle fries are great as well as their sauces. They also have hand-breaded chicken tenders, which are seasoned just right. Definitely the spot when you're craving a great burger!
Best burger I've had in a long while! Lots to pick from and fun combinations!! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
Tucked quietly away in this small complex is an unassuming, no-frills burger establishment that takes their craft very seriously. Don’t let the lack of official signage fool you: 5th Street is legit.Lots of restaurants serve up all sorts of burgers, and many of those traditional lines are followed here, with a few surprises mixed in. For starters, they have a ton of sauce options, nearly all of them house made, which are carefully crafted and paired deliberately with the various burgers and sandwiches.I was tremendously pleased with the portion size of both the burger and the fries. The fries were hot and salted perfectly, the burger was beautifully assembled and almost too big to eat! My choice was the Tempe Burger, which came with bacon, avocado, green chilies, and pepper jack cheese. Overall a 9/10 for the burger, very solid, but I felt it could have benefited from just a little more seasoning, although this is purely subjective. The owners were both present behind the counter, were very friendly and attentive, and quite obviously take pride in their work. I was thoroughly impressed with my visit, and now I’m thoroughly stuffed. Time for a nap.
I have both dined in and ordered to go orders from here. Either way, the food is amazing. The burgers always have a nice, crusty sear. I plan to be a repeat customer! If any improvements were needed, I would just say maybe a bigger dining space or bigger location because once more people start eating here, they’ll keep telling their friends and returning for more!
