Took my Mom to NYPD for the gluten free pizza as I used to do frequently years before. I expected the usual busy atmosphere, but found few other diners. The service was OK, but casual. The pizza quality was much poorer than in the past and my pasta dish was very average. I don't know what has gone wrond, but we won't be back.
Called ahead to have pizza delivered to our house. Pizza arrived promptly when scheduled and was correct temperature. Pizza was one of the best I have had.
Been here a couple times. Not really busy eather time. Standard pizza and calzone menu. Good beer selection. Service is decent. Family friendly. Was a bit cold inside, but not real noisy like some places.
Wow! This place used to be the bomb. Not sure whats' happened. I ordered a pizza for pick up, drove straight there (10 min) went straight home and the pizza was cold and tasteless. Use to be food was hot and tasty, now? not so much. Needs better management.
NYPD not only has great pizza it also has wonderful salads. Service is good however the inside needs some tender loving care.
1st visit on a Thursday evening was good. Maybe we just got lucky and the place was not crowded, but the service was outstanding. I sat at the (tiny) bar while waiting for my girlfriend and was approached by one of the girls to let me know we they were ready for us as soon as she showed up. We took the corner table so we could sit next to each other and watch the goings-on. Our server was fantastic as she also trained a new girl. We ordered a 16" margarita pizza with garlic & artichoke hearts and a small spinach salad to share. Everything was very good. We ordered the pizza "crispy" and they went so far as to bring it to the table, show it to us, and ask if it was crispy enough. It wasn't so they gladly took it back and baked it another minute or two. Nice touch guys! I've never seen that even in the best pizza places. The manager also came around and asked how everything was, so I assume she would have made things right if they weren't. Overall a very nice experience and we'll be back. The place is small so try to pick off hours if you want to avoid a wait. The beer is cold too just in case you're curious, not like the barely "cool" beer over at Applebee's.
