It was close to closing time and she said if I didn’t see a cupcake I wanted, she could frost one in the back. I love the customer service at this cute shop!
Ordered a funfetti cake for my son's birthday with an edible image. I paid extra to have my son's name in fondant on the side of the cake, but as you can see by the picture his name was written with icing on the paper cake tray it came on. Additionally, the edible image was wrinkled and not smoothly flat on the cake. Other than that the cake was delicious.
I have been dying to try this small business and take my step daughter! We went today and were incredibly pleased! Everything was clean and brightly decorated. I think it was one of the owners who offered her samples, answered our questions about the restaurant and engaged in conversation with us. He is very involved in the community and takes pride in their work. I feel like some of these negative reviews are from people who have dedicated most of their life towards eating highly processed, frozen, Walmart brands and don’t truly understand what fresh ingredients taste like. Of course they are sweet- it’s a dessert. But too sweet? I disagree. You could taste the freshness of the ice cream. It was quite honestly the best cupcake and ice cream I have ever tasted. Complaining about the price?! No. You get what you pay for. While I was there, multiple customers came in for custom cakes and one commented that they come there every year for both of their kids birthdays. I’ll absolutely be back!
We had Small Cakes make the cake for my daughter's baby shower. Fabiola (the owner) asked me what kind of a cake I wanted. Honestly, I just wanted something special for my daughter to celebrate her. Fabiola worked with me and my indecisiveness (she was patient with me) and in the end, we received the perfect cake. It was beautiful, sweet, and yummy!!! I highly recommend Small Cakes for any special occasion, big or small.
My niece's birthday cake was requested to be purple with hot pink drizzle, and what was received was light blue with peach drizzle. When it was stated at .the time of pickup that this is not what was ordered, the response was they could remake it but you'll have to also pay for the second cake. When a manager / owner was requested, it was stated that she wasn't there. When asked when she would be in, it was stated she comes in whenever she wants. This was not helpful at all. Now it is being stated that no compensation can be made because the cake wasn't left at the store?! Seems to be poor business practices and poor customer service, and definitely would not recommend.
They made a beautiful cake for me on short notice! Very friendly staff and delicious cake!
We decided to finally try Smallcakes especially since it states they are made fresh. Honestly,for the price it's not worth it. One cupcake for $5 is outrageous. We purchased 4 different kinds of flavors and they all tasted the same-disgusting. Store bought at the grocery store tastes so much better. So disappointing and will not return.
Smallcakes of Surprise did our wedding cake and it came out even better than we had hoped. We received so many compliments on our wedding day as well as from coworkers afterwards. Fabiola listened to what my husband & I were looking for in our cake. Not only was our cake beyond beautiful but it was super delicious. We recommend the strawberry with strawberry buttercream frosting, mmm! ???
Service was great and the cupcakes were incredible.The ice cream was just ok, though. Lots of options but we've had better for sure.
I called Smallcakes and said I wanted a special cake for my Husband and Moms birthdays. I said they liked chocolate, peanut butter and candy. They made me the most beautiful and delicious cake. Everyone loved it! If you need a great custom cake, this is the place to go! They are so creative and the cakes are delicious!
