My wife and I ventured into Rio Mirage Cafe for the first time a few weeks ago (04/23). We arrived around 6pm and waited about 15 minutes before being seated. Our waiter, Mark C, was a true entertainer. My wife and I have never laughed so hard, and so long, in a restaurant before. We literally had stomachaches from all of the rapid exercising of our diaphragms. The food was fabuloso and the habanero salsa was spicy. If you are there for dinner, make sure you request Mark C’s section. You will not be disappointed!!!

My chimichanga was stuffed with big tough chunks of onion skin, bland & dry fajita chicken, and wrapped in a tortilla as tough and solid as a brick. The overpriced marguerita tasted like nothing more than sugar water. Pretty slow service too. I'm not coming back and wasting my money!

This is a great place to take the family and enjoy a nice cold drink. Service was good and food was even better. The wait was not too bad considering it being the weekend. A little bit on the pricey side but worth it. Therefore the 4 star rating. Thanks

The drinks were a little overpriced in my opinion, even using the top shelf tequila. But they were delicious. Hint- stick with the regular size margarita, I suspect they use the same amount of tequila in the regular and in the large. You can taste the difference. The food was ???. Our waiter was swamped, so some things were forgotten until asked for- mainly chips and salsa, but all in all, I have no complaints.

My family and I went to the Rio Mirage Café and it was delicious. Great service great food and a couple beers each. Outstanding highly recommend it.

The salsa is not good, I am surprised this restaurant has positive ratings. Margaritas are way too expensive and mostly ice! The beef tacos lacked spices and the shrimp enchilada had the tiniest shrimp! Too expensive, much better mexican restaurants in town! Add, husband was sick the next day!

One of my favs! Food is always excellent, the service is great as well. Friday nights are busy but we barely waited maybe 10 minutes at the most. After ordering our food maybe a 10 minute wait as well while enjoying their complimentary chips and salsa, cant go wrong! The place is so warmly welcoming with the colorful atmosphere and genuinely happy guests!

The food here was good. Tacos and nachos were tasty. Was a little disappointed that it was cash only when all the baseball games we go to on our vacation was no cash so we didn’t bother to carry much cash. Our server was a little slow coming back with my husbands beer but overall service was good.

First time going there last night and will be my last time also. The service is horrible even for being short staffed. Food is beyond mediocre. Flavorless seems like it is toned down for the senior citizens that permeate the establishment. Took about ten minutes to get boxes for our food to go . All in all it was two hours from arriving to leaving that was highly disappointing. Plus over 45 dollars for two bland meals and a coke is not worth it to me. Oscars Taco shop a stroll away is better food and nicer people for a better price.

First time experiencing this place. It has potential but missed the mark for more stars. This place is always busy; literally hogging parking spots from the surrounding merchants, so we figured we'd check it out. The wait to sit down (for 2.5) wasn't long but we waited 15 minutes to place our order, so we were ready by the time our waitress showed up. We also waited another 15 minutes to even receive water; which we had to request and it was gross and unfiltered. Pretty unheard of these days for a booming restaurant. I was shocked to find that the kids meal was $9 and then a larger food toothpick was inside of my partners taco and stabbed him in the mouth the moment he bit into it. Our server was friendly, but took forever to bring us anything; even a to-go box. We never had to ask twice, however, she never came back around in a timely fashion to ask for anything. Clearly was tasked with too many tables to serve. For added kicks, take a look at the structure; clearly hired cheap labor that had no idea what they were doing, along with cutting costs in materials is prevalent. For those not paying attention, they've clearly distracted their audience with an overwhelming amount of color and asthetics. A few good things: My kid's food was warm but not so hot that he couldn't consume, the taste of the food was good and not too salty, and the Azul margarita was on point. As stated before, our server was friendly but super overworked. I sure hope they pay well because I imagine it's difficult to earn tips when you're overbooked with tables.
