Great food!! Loved all of it, The Rican Sandwhich was a bit small for $12. And not on the huge bread the picture on the menu had. It was WAY SMALLER. But the taste was awesome. Will definitely go back! Mom had the pork and rice, it has a huge portion, I tried the pork, it was juicy and seasoned sooooo good. However I have to unfortunately drop it a few stars and here is why! ..I live in Goodyear so it's a 25 min drive for me to get there..I have been 4 times DURING THEIR LISTED BUISNESS HOURS...and it has only been opened one time out of the 4. The very 1st time I went, I showed up at 11:15am the hours say they open at 11am. But it was closed, no lights on, nobody in sight. 2nd time I went, they had a sign posted on the door closed till June 28th, I think it was June 19th maybe the 21st, but regardless it was closed for at least another solid week on the day I went. 3rd time I went, I FINALLY got to try their food and mom and I loved it!!!! Today, we really wanted some more, plus mom had a Dr appointment literally right behind the building, Mom and I got there about 145pm and it was closed.... I'm not sure how they keep in buiness, because they seem to NEVER be open, or I'm the unluckiest person ever.. Food trucks can do that open and close when they want, but when you convert to a brick and mortar restaurant, you need to keep to the hours you have listed...With gas prices today...I unfortunately will not travel 25 minutes up there again, because it's a gamble, if your even open, 3 out of 4 times I have been, it's been closed during your listed open hours!!!...WHY?? I Love the food, but can't keep wasting gas! Sorry
Great time, great food, great people. You have to try the guava empanadas. Very delicious.
I installed some garage door openers for the owner. Even before he brought me lunch to the job site our phone correspondence was always 5 star. When I was finished he was at the restaurant and offered to bring me lunch. Well I will never turn down free food!!!! He brought me and my apprentice pulled pork and beans and rice. Oh also some sauce that I can only imagine came from heaven. Best meal I have eaten in a long time and I will recommend this place to anyone!!!!
This place is amazing. Def makes me feel like I'm home. Great prices and great customer service
My husband and I have been searching and waiting for Puerto Rican food to be near us and finally we get Petes. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to go back.
Cannot recommend this place enough. The pernil was delicious and the customer service was top of the line. We will definitely be coming back frequently.
By far the best comida criolla (Puerto Rican food) I've had in the Valley yet. I was super disappointed because they sold our of beef empanadas due to a huge order but as soon as I bit into the pollo empanadas I was happy again. I never order chicken empanadas but I will from Puerto Rican Pete! His arroz con gandules was great as well. Ask for the mojo chicken!
The food is great and the restaurant staff and owner are fantastic. My two year old tried the chicken and beef empanadas and did an impromptu dance because they were so good. I love the food and will be going back again and again.
Crossed at least 8 state lines to Eat at Pete's - Worth every mile! ??? Food was thoroughly delicious! We had the Mojo Chicken and Puerto Rican Beans & Rice. Can't wait to go back, well worth the trip.
I have found, in my opinion, the best tacos and burritos out and about. Luckily now, I’ve also found the best sandwich! I’ve had the Rican sandwich twice and it stands as the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The staff is awesome too, we were recommended a chicken rice and bean plate too that was really good too.
