Keep an eye on them hand packing. Caught one of the employees being a little lazy on packing. They packed the Pistachio ok (2 lbs), but the Chocolate Peanut Butter was not packed at all (1.15 lbs). Lots of big air gaps while eating through. They made the top look like it was packed but wasnt.
Pictured hot fudge brownie sundae. Super delicious with a lot of hot fudge, brownie was moist, dense and thick. Didn't go crazy with the ice cream went with vanilla for all scoops. The topping of whipped cream a cherry and caramelized walnuts was perfect. I was surprised to see no line to get in. This place is perfect for after dinner , after a dispensary visit any time you have the munchies .......or a sweet tooth.........it's in the far west valley and worth the drive. See you soon....

Super delicious ice cream flavors!! My kids and I enjoyed Handel's for the first time this afternoon and we would highly recommend them over regular ice cream shops like Baskin Robin's! Handel's variety of ice cream are outstanding!! :-D My only wish is that they'd offer samples for the little ones, just in case they choose a flavor they don't actually end up enjoying. :-/ The staff could work slightly on their customer service and smiles but I suppose we can't ask for it all. ??♀️All in all, the quality of the product was excellent and the quality of service was just okay.
Excellent ice cream every time!Sadly, the times on Google maps are incorrect. I sent an edit request. Hopefully somebody takes care of it.They are open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. They are open Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (See my pic.)
Great place, cordial staff, and some pretty amazing ice cream! My wife and I stopped by this evening to indulge in some of the best ice cream in the valley, and we were not disappointed! We sat outside under the new (within the past month) canopy cover and ended up making new friends with another couple who had decided to just have Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream for dinner. This, by far, was the best part of my day. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, I had the “small” Strawberry Cheesecake Chunk in a dish and my wife had the Strawberry in a waffle cone. We got our punch card stamped and we shall return. ?
Ice cream was excellent and service was good. But this has been in business for some time now and they haven't bothered to figure out how to let customers know what flavors of ice cream they have. They list like 30+ flavors, but really only have half of them. I kept asking for flavors they didn't have, but we're listed, pretty disappointing setup. You need to figure out how to let customers know what flavors are actually available.
I love this ice cream. And I also loved the generous portions they gave customers.....until recently. I've been taking my family here nearly every weekend since we moved to Surprise. But recently the bean counters at corporate paid this store a visit and instructed the store to drastically reduce the amount of ice cream they served customers. So the Handel's motto "We Never Skimp" no longer applies. The last two times we've been there they are literally giving us about a third as much as they were before. Not cool. So while I will drop by occasionally for my Graham Central Station fix, I will no longer be a regular. It is just way too expensive considering how stingy they are with the servings. Sad!
The line can be a bit intimidating but I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly it moved. The ice cream is delicious-absolutely worth the short wait in line. So why only two stars? The staff. The staff made me feel like a burden. I left questioning if I had said or done something wrong because the young lady who checked us out was so curt. Not sure if I’ll go back. No ice cream is so good that it’s worth such lousy customer service. It’s a shame too, because this place would otherwise be amazing.
Delicious Delicious Delicious... a must stop. Great flavors, large portions, and lots of choices. You can go wrong here with anything. Much better quality and you get your money worth here.
