Despite what negative Nancy posted below after getting caught with her hand in the cookie jar, this place is delicious, clean (cleaner than an establishment near by with dust bunnies under her beds and Skeletons crawling out if her closet), and they GIVE back to society. The employees are always nice and happy. You can tell they’re treated well by the big “x-fire fighter dude”. The drink station was clean until she ran in for her daily drink and dash leaving her spills behind. Great job Surprise FHS!
This is the greatest restaurant in Surprise! The sandwiches are all made with care, the staff is friendly and efficient. And the owner... my God what an amazing human being. He does so much for the community and mentors the young kids he has working for him. I dont live in Surprise but when I am there I always stop in, grab a sammy and enjoy the cleanliness and attention to detail that the owner and all his staff adhere to. Places like this are few and far between, and deserve every bit of a 5 star. Well done Ed. Thank you for caring so much about your staff, your food, and your community!
I was insulted by the owner of this location. He complained that i grabbed a cup of ice without a purchase and i do recycle my cup for a few days but once it wears out I'll grab another. I eat there at 6 times a month. Average about $15 a visit. He was not nice at all. I have a staff of three who also buys their lunches a few times a month but since this happened I will no longer be returning. Bty the place is extremely dirty. The drink station is sticky and all the dispenserAre filthy. First impressions aren't good, the glass door which is never cleaned is gross. U don't want to touch the door at all. Food service should be a clean experience so U feel safe to eat there but Mr. Owner u fail to pay attention to details and not worry about one free cup of ice. The female manager is nice but delegation of cleaning duties needs to happen. I'm really disappointed ? because I really liked the food and how convenient this is for lunch....Mr mean x-fire fighter dude u just lost about $225 monthly $2700 yearly of revenue from me and my staff. No referrals either. I referred everyone there before...so sad...no more.
I had tuna with onion on white bread. The little bit of tuna I had was more like a thin spread - like u would do for maynaise. Three medium sandwiches for around $34 - chips and drink are extra which is usual at firehouse so we didn’t add that. The price to get a sub any more is just asinine.Too much money for mediocre.
We stopped in here for lunch and where very pleased with the food and service . We had never been there before and only stumbled on the place after entering the parking lot to go to another store. We had a turkey sub and the bread was very fresh an so we're all the ingredients. The staff helped us with our order as we had a few things we wanted on our sandwich. A great place to have a great sub.
This has gotta be the best Firehouse I've ever been to. First off, the sandwiches were incredible and the atmosphere in the restaurant itself is awesome. I got to speaking with the manger or the owner of the store about whether or not they would bring back the hot sauces they used to have sitting out in the open to try. He wasn't sure if they'll ever end up bringing it back but he asked which one I used to like. A few minutes later he brought out a bottle of the hot sauce and gave it to me to take home!!! Such a great team that works there. We'll be back.
I love Firehouse, and the quality of food is good but it's unbelievable how long it takes for them to actually make a sandwich. I waited 15 minutes in a nearly empty restaurant with 5 employees of one sub.
Ordered Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket with gf bun. The gf bun did not dominate the taste. The sandwich was quite tasty and I got the meal so I tasted the chili which tasted homemade. They also play older music in the restaurant which is a nice change.
Just visited for the first time with my boys after we finished some work on the truck. They already knew of this place and what to order. Been back again since that visit. Really good sub sandwich. My wife is gluten free and this is another place we can go enjoy our food together.
Only good sandwich there is the meatball sub. Due to a companion that can't handle spicy...there is nothing else to order. They do have a veterans discount. A small drink with order. It will be months if we even go back.
