I love love love the crab puffs. The funny thing is, there is no crab in them just cream cheese which is fine with me. The dipping sauce is what really makes them good. There are not to many of these restaurants in Arizona with a variety of Chinese food that I like.
First time eating here. Food was mediocre. Fried rice was more like burnt rice. Wontons were just fried dough, no filling. Didn’t think it could get much worse until eating the broccoli and found a bug larvae on it. Absolutely disgusting. Will never be eating here again.
I have ordered take out 4 times so far. They are extremely fast and the food is delicious. Our favorites are the orange chicken and chicken pad Thai. Large portions at very reasonable prices! Highly recommend!!
My family and I ordered from Chef Panda on 04/18/2022 and were so impressed that we ordered it again 05/01/2022. We ordered beef broccoli, moo goo gai pan, and sweet and sour chicken the first time. My husband and I didn't really care for the beef broccoli because the sauce was a little too rich for our liking. We love the moo goo gai pan and the sweet and sour chicken. They both tasted amazing and so delicious!! The vegetables in the moo goo gai pan are so fresh and delicious. The sweet and sour chicken was so crispy and perfect and the sauce was amazing!! Perfect sweetness with the right amount of sour. We also ordered a side of lo mein which I love and the kids loved it too. The second time we ordered the moo goo gai pan, sweet and sour chicken, chicken lo mein, and chicken chop suey. Again the sweet and sour chicken, moo goo gai pan, and the chicken lo mein tasted amazing. My husband liked the chicken chop suey, but said it had too much celery which overpowered the flavor of the sauce. Overall we loved the food and thought it tasted amazing. This place is definitely worth a try and you will not be sorry. I wanted to add one more thing. The food was hot and fresh both times we ordered Chef Panda for pickup. Thank you for the delicious food!
I will start with the good, the spice level was spot on.The bad....1. Everything tasted like the oil hadn't been changed all week.2. There was so much oil that I am pretty sure I could have lit the temple for all eight days3. Everything had a pork-ish flavor4. No vegetables in sight.I don't think I will order from here again...
I wanted to like it. I can't find good Chinese food in the Surprise area. I have tried pretty much everywhere in the area and have been disappointed with all of them. I tried Chef Panda years ago, and it was awful, but it has been a couple of years, so I decided to give it another chance. It was terrible. We got the Sweet and Sour Pork and Lemon Chicken. It tasted like they used old oil to fry with. I could not finish mine and didn't bother to keep it for left overs. The fried rice is nothing but rice fried in oil and probably soy sauce (or whatever makes it brown color.). No egg, peas, carrots, or onions like you expect in fried rice. Like I said, I wanted to like it, but I didn't.
We ordered delivery and it arrived about an hour and 10 minutes after we placed the order. The main courses were pretty dissapointing not a lot of flavor. The "fried rice" that we were charged a dollar extra for was just rice with soy sauce dumped on it. The Lo mein (2 dollars extra) had no flavor. I had to put soy sauce and what tasted like watered down sweet and sour just to be able to get 2 bites down then threw it away. Spring rolls were all wrapper and no filling. Will never eat here again and honestly don't know where the good reviews come from. I try not to leave one star reviews but this place earned it.
Patrick and his staff are amazing. Being vegan options in Surprise are limited however they will make any of their dishes with tofu instead of the meat. My favorite is the Mongolian tofu extra spicy. Portions are huge as well!
3 stars is VERY generous. Ordered 2 different lunch 'specials'. Both orders had OVERCOOKED SOGGY vegetables, chicken with the skin on it, 'micro mini' spring rolls, and just bland tasting. Got it to go. Inside there are 4 tables, 2 available for use, and 1 stacked on top of the other, not usable. Very cold, must be saving on heat. WON'T BE BACK.
Mostly takeout. Limited seating. Chef’s special chicken is definitely special. We have not had a bad dish from them. They package very well for the trip home, no leaks. Often the sauce is separate depending on if the meat is breaded.
