Over all experience was good. They probably were understaffed like every place else. But the wait for food and to be checked on took a little long. We ran out of drinks and had to wait for refills. Finished our food before drink refills. Would i recommend this restaurant? Yes I would. Food was really good.
Today was our second visit to this restaurant. We wanted to give them another chance after the horribly slow service and mediocre food we experienced the first time here. To be fair they were very busy and under staffed then.Today the restaurant was busy however there were plenty of staff there to handle it. We were seated quickly and ordered coffee and our food. However, we had to wait 20 minutes to get the coffee and never did get our meal. Why? Because while waiting for our food we saw multiple people walk in after we did, sit down, order their food, finish it, pay, and walk out.I'm a white guy and my wife is Chinese. I'm not sure if that had something to do with the long wait or maybe they serve the regulars first.After waiting for 45 minutes the restaurant was mostly empty and we still were waiting for our food. So we got up, left some money for the coffees and walked out.We live five minutes away in Sierra Vista. However, I will never go back to this restaurant. They burnt a bridge we me. Buyer beware.
Food is decent. Decor and atmosphere is similar to a retirement home. Mostly older people eat here so expect them to yell for the sake of saving batteries on hearing aids ?. Worst part was how slow the service was but server did seem to try her best so I'd still go back at some point. I think their breakfast was better than lunch. If you do go at lunch try the corn bites they were so good.
We have eaten here 3 times. Our first experience was very, very bad. But we took it with a grain of salt, as they were short handed and near a holiday. Our second experience was AWESOME!! Our waitress was right on top of things, our food was phenomenal We are new to the area and had seen our awesome waitress in town and spoke with her a short time. We decided to give it another go. We had guests in town and thought we'd treat them to a hometown experience. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. My sandwich was burnt with an attempt to cover it up. ? we waited an extremely long time for our food as it was. We had 3 children with us and no time to send it back. I ate half and left the other half. $64.00 meal... and we left out tip.So.... Chalk it up as another hit or miss ?♀️
Heard about this place and decided to try it. Placed our order very friendly staff and a clean dining area. Then the food showed up! I’m a huge fan of Corned Beef Hash and try it at every new restaurant I go to. Well…. This was absolutely the worst Hash I’ve ever had! Pretty disgusting actually. Had a dirty grill taste. Came with eggs which were very bland. The toast was toast and was good. My son had the breakfast burrito with hash browns. Burrito was just eggs and cheese and were ok. My son said The hash browns tasted like they we’re cooked on a dirty grill so I tasted them and agree with that description! Definitely not impressed with the quality of the food here. I will not be eating here again in the future.
I've been coming here for years. I've always liked the food and enjoy talking to the waitresses. Today I made a to go order of a chef salad. The salad is HUGE. $13 but to me, worth every penny. This is the full order. Thank you.
First, the staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was great. I enjoyed the chicken fried steak and eggs. Prepared perfectly. I can't wait to return. Thank you Country House for a great breakfast!
The Country House serves comfort foods that are as great as home cooked meals. My husband and I have eaten breakfast here several times now and the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the restaurant, and the quality of the food dever disappoint. In addition to serving tasty fare the restaurant has a very cozy atmosphere; it's like eating at grandma's.
We’ve been here before and the food is good. My issue today was when we walked in and put our name on the wait list, the hostess was really hesitant to give me a time. She kept saying “it won’t be that long.” “That wait isn’t that long” I said, ok, do you have an estimate? She said “15 minutes”, no problem. We had four adults, 1 child, and a baby. In over the 25 minutes we sat there, the host sat 4 other parties, totaling well over 10 adults. As the hostess walked by she said “thanks for your patience.” Like, come on, lol. You just sat more adults than is even in our group. It also bothered me she didn’t just give us a real time estimate. As soon as she refused to give me a time the first three times I asked, I should have just left. That was on me. But, to seat over ten adults and ignore the four that have been sitting for close to a half hour seems really crazy to me. Either be honest about the wait, or learn to seat correctly.
Country house has had up's n downs but ultimately overall it's definitely better quality food n more for your Money!. Definitely love the southern style breakfast options comfort food and Old time small town humble vibes.
