It was busy and we didn't have a reservation, but we waited and were seated at the bar. The bartender took excellent care of us as we enjoyed some of their delicious offerings. My wife had a margarita that she really enjoyed while we ordered fries that had been dusted with barbecue flavor and served with a smoky ketchup on the side. They were wonderful, but the lemon hummus was even better. We also tried their veggie tacos which were good and a delicious tomato soup served with a grilled cheese sandwich. It was far more than we could eat, so we brought back leftovers, but we finished the meal with the most amazing key lime pie I have ever had! It was served with a raspberry sorbet but it's consistency was more like a cheesecake than a pie. It was tall and luscious and tasted fantastic. I don't know how often we will make it back to Sedona, but this restaurant has won our hearts as the place to visit on our return.
Nice fresh feel to the restaurant and staff were very efficient. We had crab cakes, sushi roll and a beet salad. All were good. Menu did not have a lot of variety but everything was good.
The Caprese salad was fabulous. The Halibet was flavorful and light. Topped off with Key Lime Pie with Raspberry Sorbet that could feed 4!!
Not sure why it is marked as moderate priced within TripAdvisor, this is definitely high priced. Still, the food is delicious. We had the overstuffed smoked devil eggs, and we never had better ones, they were just awesome. Then we went with a daily chef's special, the bouillabaisse, this one was also great; tasty, however (been in France) a little too less sauce, and should have somewhat more garlic bread with it. Overall a great restaurant to have a fine-dining experience.
We visited Shorebird twice on our recent visit to Sedona, once for lunch and once at dinner. Overall we were very impressed despite a couple of disappointing dishes.Pros: The Japanese black miso cod was THE best bite of food I've had in a while, get it. We enjoyed the other starters as well including the tuna egg roll and the Catalina roll. We both enjoyed the main at lunch which was the fried chicken sandwich. The fries were great. The service here was also very good! The ambience was very nice as well with a great view of the mountains.Cons: we were both disappointed with the fish mains that we had for dinner. I had the fish of the day which was flounder over mashed potatoes. The flounder was very thin and honestly quite tasteless. Considering the price of this dish it was quite disappointing. The salmon mignon dish my girlfriend ordered was also underwhelming.Overall we would definitely come back despite the disappointment of the fish dishes!
Food was well prepared. Menu had good selection. Menu did not offer low carb/keto options and restaurant does not allow substitutions. Service was adequate but definitely not used to being appreciative to business (large tourist trade). Too many other local options to go back.
Wow! What a great place and dining experience. The menu offers so many unique wonderful choices it’s difficult to select from. My wife had sushi and I had the pork chop both were great. Service was also exceptional top shelf from Brian and hostess Shawna who help create wonderful memories. Thank you again
We very much enjoyed our dinner at Shorebird! Here are 5 things we loved about it:1) The service was excellent. We sat at the bar and Miranda, the bartender, was fantastic! Friendly and efficient.2) Speaking of efficiency, we ordered our food and within 5 minutes, we were eating. Super fast and fresh.3) Speaking of fresh, we learned that they receive fresh, flown in fish/seafood from Japan every-other-day. ??4) We ordered: tuna tataki, crudo sashimi, & pork shoulder taco platter. WOW is all I can say! SO GOOD. Melt-in-your-mouth good. We loved the sashimi so much, we ended up ordering the salmon carpaccio, too. ?5) Great vibe to the restaurant. We sat at the outdoor-side of the bar. They had nice heaters to keep us comfortable.Overall, highly recommend dining here. We will be back! Maybe as soon as tomorrow. LOL.
The food was creative, beautifully prepared and delicious. The waiter was friendly and helpful, there when we needed him but not hovering. The key lime pie was amazing and huge! Prickly pear cocktail was so-so. Our only complaint would be that the music seemed out of sync with the ambiance. It was loud and pounding so that you had to yell to your tablemate. I would recommend a new playlist.
I've been here 20+years and after 3 Solid visits I can say that this place is the best "NEW" restaurant in Sedona. Fantastic and creative menu, professional servers and convenient hassle free parking. We've tried a few of their deliciously creative cocktails. The only thing that wasn't fantastic was the "avocado fries" Prices are on the plus side which you'd expect at any of the other top Sedona restaurants.
