We eat here everytime we visit the area. Simple yet delicious sushi that's not slathered in sauces or rolled with excessive rice. I look forward to eating each time.
Wait staff was friendly and helpful but after we placed our order I could audibly hear the person in the back who was preparing our food cursing ? at the waitress Regina telling her he didn't want to prepare the two skewer chicken yakatori we ordered. He changed the wait time 3 times. The last time he told her he was going to cook it right. He yelled at her and asked her if she was going to tell us or he would come out and say it.I Guess he is the only person working the line cooking. There are 3 tables ahead of us so we will see how long it takes. The place is quaint, the sushi chef is nice. The place is older or they fry a lot if things because it smells of old frying oilHopefully they get the kitchen chef some help because I am terribly concerned about the food we ordered. My husband is an Asian food junkie so he is willing to risk it.He did address it with the waitress and the chef listened in..
The chef is always fun to talk to! He makes real sushi without fillers. My favorite dish is the tempura soba and Kurosawa sake or plum wine.
Food was ok, staff was helpful, takeout presentation and ambience didn't match the pricing, but not bad overall.
The most enjoyable and authentic sushi restaurant experience in the area! The presentation and ambiance for the meal is clean and cozy. Great, quality sushi that tastes fresh and full of flavor. Definitely a local favorite!
For the price you pay, you would expect your food being made not warmed up in a microwave. The owner was very rude! He can sit for 10 minutes telling customers that he can't do anything but sit there and stare at you. What kind of customer service is this? Beware he is the only one working so if you are not the first or second customer. Good luck! You will be waiting for an hour just to order and get water.
Very cute restaurant!! Traveling to sedona from Iowa, and the owners made me feel right at home! 5 types of vegetarian sushi and good stories and art for free!!
The best Sushi in Sedona. Fresh and simple. No mayo, thankfully! Sushi chef is cool, fun to talk with. Great prices too. You'll really enjoy the food and service!
Horrible food. Smells like old frying oil when you first walk in. Wanted to gag. Then we ordered the gyoza and they were deep fried and had freezer burns on them. Gyoza is supposed to be pan fried!! Soba noodles in tasteless broth with nothing else and the tempura tasteless and thick and uneven....never again.
I love this mom and pop operation. Small menu, but always fresh. Limited hours, go early.
