Pizza looked real good but it was a bit bland. House salad had dirt in it. I'm not sure if they washed the lettuce but I had dirt in my mouth with the first bite, couldn't touch the rest and lost appetite. Prices are descent.
We had BBQ Chicken pizza and it was the best! The place wasn't kept super clean but fine..homie behind the counter was higher than a kite. My husband told him the Sprite was out and the guy looked confused and didn't change it out. ( my guess is this is a family business) The lady bringing out orders was very nice.
I have to say, the pizza lived up to its famous name. Cooked right and that crust had that perfect amount of crunch! Not harshly crunchy but just enough to keep the sag out when you pick up a piece. Fresh toppings and the beer was ice cold!! We will be back next time we are in sedona!
The place is busy in the evenings, but worth it. We had two pizzas, thin crust, very good. Convenient location.
I love pizza, but only if it is good. I may even be a bit of a pizza snob. Famous Pizza and Beer has excellent pizza!! We got the meat lovers and it was delicious!! The crust is crispy and tasty, the sauce was very flavorful and the toppings were perfect.
We ordered a “Special” pizza (plus mushrooms) for takeout. It was DELICIOUS. The crust is perfection - thick without being overly doughy.
After a long hike was anxious for pizza. Staff was not friendly and seemed short handed. Took an hour to get pizza. We asked for 1/2 and 1/2 pizza and instead of normal charge we were up charged $38. Could have bought two separate pizzas for nearly that price. Pizza was ok. Very disappointed. y
It is sad to have to give bad reviews to local businesses in our community. My first visit to Famous Pizza was supposed to be a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it was quite far from that. When I approached our server to let him know our Margherita pizza had mostly sauce and no cheese, he pretended to be confused. I had to expressly say that my daughter had literally had a slice of pizza with sauce and basil. The sauce was not even good, it was just canned sauce with no flavor. I showed him the pizza, and rather than acknowledging the obvious, he asked another server to come talk to me. I repeated the same information. Their only response was that I was complaining about a pizza I had already paid for. I responded that that was exactly what I was doing, and that I needed them to offer a solution, maybe change it for a pizza with as much cheese as a Margherita is supposed to have. When I realized they were not going to do anything about my concern, I told them I was not going to insist. Then they said how “sorry” they were, to which I responded they clearly weren’t “sorry”. I spent almost $70 in pizzas that were overcooked and Margherita pizza with no cheese for the most part. Poor quality, terrible customer service, and wasted money are far from what a pleasant pizza dinner on a Friday evening is meant to be. I’m sure they thought we were tourists they won’t see again, for which I couldn’t not write this review. I hope they reconsider how they treat customers and the kind of work they’re doing in the kitchen before they may not have any orders soon.
Yum, yum. Great lunch deal with single slice and salad or two slices. Pizza is great and the salad was amazing. I got a couple of meals out of it. Highly recommend
Point 1 the price on the wall is not the price they charge. Point 2 they won't let you call in an order. So you drive there and they don't have the combo you ask for but you canhave a cheese slice. Several weeks ago they answered the phone and left me on hold for so long I got dressed drove down there and spent another 15 minutes so I could tell them and everyone there that I was still on hold. They are dead to me as is Thai Spices..As an Airbnb superhost With over 1000 guest last year I will inform all my upcoming guest to avoid this business.
