This place was a hidden gem in the heart of uptown Sedona. The atmosphere and the staff were all amazing and really elevated the experience. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful night out.
As new locals getting here about the time Covid hit⦠it took almost three years to finally make it to this restaurant and boy are we glad we did! The setting, the service, the drinks, the food were all stellar! Nothing else like it in Sedona! What a treasure! We will be back!
We had requested and hoped for a table on the creek . But , do to an afternoon shower we were moved inside. Was still absolutely beautiful. Service was outstanding .Thank you David . A perfect way to celebrate our Golden Anniversary.ðð
Looks bautifull. The staff appear friendly but turned out to be incompetent. 2hrs to get stone cold pasta and a salmon dish. Tons of excuses but all B.S..If you want a nice place for pictures, Cress is good. If you want good food and service, go somewhere else.To be fair, the manager (Kyle) tried his best - the wait staff screwed up the entire occasion.
During our stay at the resort, we ate here for breakfast and dinner. Overall, breakfast is much better, as most of the dishes we had in the morning were amazing (except the oatmeal). The olive oil pancakes, skillet, eggs Benedict all very good! They also have great coffee. For dinner, we did the chef's tasting menu. It was a very romantic and beautiful experience. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance and got a prime creekside spot. The service was phenomenal, our server David was great. The food was very unique and I liked most of the dishes. Everything was made very well and plated beautifully. I would definitely do this again to see what the chef comes up with next.
My family loves an awesome, unique meal and seeks them out when traveling. At Cress, we ordered to chef's prix fixe menu and our experience was close to an abomination. The food was bland, uninspired, tasteless and the presentation was uncreative. All courses were embarrassing to say the least. The service also was lacking - we had to ask for silverware 3 times, for example. For an $1000+ meal, it was frustratingly mediocre, to put it nicely. We are not ones to leave bad reviews; however, for 7 days we have attempted to get in contact with the restaurant GM personally to give him details about our experience, as it is his JOB to want to improve his business - he has avoided multiple direct emails and text messages. The food was horrible, the staff was untrained, and the overall experience was unacceptable. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We were IMPOSED to have the fixed menu although many things listed were not of our taste. We started dinner at 7.15 and our first course came at 8.30 . We finished dinner at 10.30 pm. Completely disorganized kitchen , cold and tasteless dishes , disaster communication between floor service and kitchen. It was our wedding anniversary and they have ruined our night. It is a beautiful hotel , amazing setting but although they pose as a super exclusive restaurant , they are far away to meet what they are showing off. It is a pretend to be place. The beautiful creek setting cannot be the only nice feature of the restaurant. Review urgently your organization and I think you should concentrate in your a la carte menu and not impose a 180 dollars fixed menu ( no drinks ) if you are not able to deliver it in time and with quality.
The service and ambience was great as usual. While the food was very good, it seemed to me that the food was a little better before.
This place is a pure magic! No word can explain the beauty of this place. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. We came here for a dinner. Atmosphere was so romantic! They had a live guitar music which was absolutely fantastic! Staff was so kind and helpful. My greatest compliments to all staff! They ensured that all my food was prepared gluten and dairy free. They took care of every detail. I came back home with great memories. Love this place and can't wait to come back!
With the sound of the creek, the evening sun light and a Heron keeping watch Cress on Oak Creek couldn’t have been any more magical. This was a perfect setting for a romantic dinner. All of the staff were very kind and helped make us feel special throughout the dining experience. Cress on Oak Creek delivered a delectable meal that exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning every time we visit Sedona.
