I have tried your Prescott Valley and Prescott locations 5 times, with the hopes they would improve in their quality and taste. The overall experience has been terrible, better than the other BBQ places in the area but they are all really bad. Last nights meal at Prescott location was the worst.. Had the meat sampler and started with the ribs… They were served pre-sauced or wet as we say in Q, ribs had little flavor except the sauce… The Chicken was dry, brisket and pulled pork dry and someone obviously poured old grease or oil over both to moisten and it gave both the worst after taste.. I had to spit out the boudin… But, the onion rings are the best in town. I am most disappointed because you built such a beautiful location, my old cigar shop, and that horseshoe smoker is a jem. I am not the aficionado of bbq but I do know my way around a pit and a kitchen.. I will not be returning to Colts, 5 times is more than enough chances to see improvement. It’s sad that this area lacks in the area of authentic Southern Bbq so terribly
Best BBQ in town! Great service and Great food!
Got the recommendation from a local and boy where we glad we did! The barbecue was some of the best I've ever had and I've had really good barbecue in Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, pretty much all over the south. THE SAUCES! You have a fantastic selection of sauces. So much flavor choices. The barbecue pulled pork came on a delicious bruschetta bun with Colt slaw. It was perfect. You either like these kind of fries are you don't. We love them. They did a good job getting crispy. The mahi tacos were generous and the mango salsa was to die for.
great food and friendly environment. love it
It was close to the end of the night (8pm) and we asked our waitress (Tiffany) if we could have one more drink before they closed, she said no because they were close to closing. Which was understandable however, new customer came and they served them alcohol. In essence, we were lied too. Which wasn’t fair at all. If you tell your customers one thing keep it as such! That was her mistake, because my wife and I were celebrating our honeymoon moon and was going to leave a $100 tip instead we left our change from the bill. Be fair to customers or don’t have your business up and running.
Delicious smoked meats and fresh salad! Amazing atmosphere with cowhide chairs for a very casual meal. Order and find a seat…no hostess or call ahead seating. We thoroughly enjoyed the view and the meal. Highly recommend the tasty cuisine!
I loved it here! The staff was really friendly and helpful. The bbq is undoubtedly the bbq I had in Sedona. I look forward to going back! Ribs and Mac and cheese were on point.
Colt is a good addition to the Village of Oak Creek. Two large smokers out front produce the meats. The menu is quite broad and they have indoor and outdoor seating. We had the small brisket plate and the brisket tacos. Delicious! There were quite a few families with children who clearly loved the ambience of the place and the food. Well worth the five mile cycle (to bypass the horrific traffic) from Sedona.
Top notch BBQ. We had the pulled pork sandwiches, jalapeño cornbread, sweet potato fries, baked beans and garlic bread. The only thing that we field could have been better was a little more heat in the cornbread. Aside from that minor fact all of the food was incredible.
Great food and service, so glad we had lunch here! Awesome Brisket, burger, and sauces.Update: Went outside to check out the big smokers and the chefs invited me to look at a massive rack of ribs smoking, these guys really go above and beyond. Must eat in Sedona!
