I have had to leave this drive through twice, because the girl who works the late night was chatting up so kid. After 15 minutes of waiting the car behind me left, and I was finally able to get out. If it is her date night, then don’t do the drive through here, go to the one west of Thomas and Scottsdale Rd. It is cleaner and the inside is open. I enjoy Whataburger when I drive Rideshare and this location (after 10pm) seems like they don’t care.
Whataburger still knows the importance of the home style burger. Their shakes are the real deal( can't use a straw), their fries are usually fresh, and portions are bountiful. They have one of the best overall breakfast menus around and the quality is above their competitors. You can be a lemming , burning $7 in gas to get your " in and out" an hour from now, or you can hit an American classic for a double cheeseburger , made by the only burger joint to offer Hatch green chilis on top of it, and follow it up with a Dr. Pepper milkshake and perfect fries ( which go best dunked in the shake, if you ask me). There you have it. Who's buying?
Whataburger... More like Whatawaste.I cannot fathom the hype this place gets. The audacity to even try to put this on the same tier and compare it to In-N-Out is appalling. This place isnt even better than Burger King. I would quite enjoyed a whopper over this.It was literally a basic burger with the flavor akin to what you could get a a carnival or Wienerschnitzel.Their shakes are huge, but flavors like the strawberry shake taste more like syrup and less real strawberry. Jack In The Box and Del Taco have ACTUAL strawberry in their shakes, and taste far better.
I ordered green chile and I got this black mess on my burger. Disgusting. They did it because I got an incorrect order and when I went back to get the correct order, they did this.
The burgers are so big! The meal was filling and made fresh. The fries were delicious, hot and crisp. The medium size combo is a large amount of food. The restaurant was clean. The employees were friendly and helpful with the menu items. The sandwiches on the menu board also had a description of what was on each. Additionally, the men's and women's restroom was located on the outside of the building but were the employees have out the key code to get inside. The restrooms were clean and smelled fresh. Overall an amazing experience!
Fantastic food and service! Danny was especially helpful and made the experience above and beyond any fast food I'd had before. Will definitely visit again if I have the opportunity, and highly recommend the establishment.
Pretty run down location. Food was okay. Order was inaccurate. Don't use the app during peak periods because the drive thru lane blocks access to parking and curbside parking spots.
I asked for NO lettuce tomato or mayo but add pickles and cheese on a southern bacon chicken sandwich I got lettuce and ONE PICKLE no bacon or southern sauce (which might have been mayo so I wasn't too upset). I asked for DIET COKE with EXTRA ICE I got dr pepper and light ice I asked for barbecue sauce and I hot 1 reg and 2 spicy ketchup at least fries were good I guess lol
Location always takes a long time. Nail in the coffin today, waited almost a half hour in the drive through only to get told that their card system just stopped working, didn’t mention it at the box when taking the order. Wouldn’t comp my meal, or work anything else out. Wasted entire lunch from work to not get lunch. Won’t be going back.
My wife and I were feeling lazy the other night and decided to give Whataburger a try instead of cooking. We both had a taste for a hamburger, so we got 2 double cheeseburgers with everything on them.I was concerned when I pulled in at 6 pm and there was no one in line, dinner time and not a soul there? The building is old and dumpy but I went through with the order. When we unwrapped the burgers the giant bun was a complete turn off, and the burger even though it was stacked on top of a slew of toppings was tasteless. The bun overwhelmed the hole thing and after one bite in we both said "Yuck". She ate half, I finished mine after adding some mayo and ketchup. Later that night she threw up her burger. I was fine.I don't think anyone cares about this business building is awful,food is awful. And $22 for 2 hamburgers and 2 fries is no bargain.
