I'd like to recommend Wekopa! Always very clean and staff is always on point with helping out. I'd like to also give a shout out to Carla Reeves the hotel manager as she has always been very kind to me and my wife! Great place to stay and enjoy the pool and at night time enjoy live music and the Casino. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This is my favorite Casino when coming to the Phoenix area. A little remote but 20min from Scottsdale area. This casino is spotless and smells great. You get an older crowd here unlike the younger set you can see at Talking Stick. The staff is nice, the bathrooms are beautiful. Great selections of games and the slots are not too tight. I always visit a few times when I come to Scottsdale. Voted #1 casino in the desert.
This facility was amazing. Everyone was eager to please, the food options were great, poolside service was quick, rooms were clean and spacious. You could tell people enjoyed being there, they seemed very genuine. We were greeted by everyone we passed. I would definitely return to this hotel for the bingo, the pool, the food and fun.
We loved Happy Hour at the sports bar. Rudy was the bartender. It wasn't too busy and we don't know why. Great beer selection and great prices on beer and appetizers. After a cold beer, we started with the onion rings. Excellent. Crispy panko batter with a horseradish cocktail sauce. A good portion and half price. We followed that with their nachos. A bit more upscale looking than most but equally great. Well worth a visit. As to the hotel and casino, let me start by saying the machines are extremely tight. But we played BJ and craps and had fun. But at least for us and the folks around us, slots and video poker were awful. Our hotel experience was good. Checked in early, the room was fine and the pool was great. I wish our rooms A/C kept the room cooler but I suppose it's a challenge in June. We enjoyed the pool. Not sure but I think it might be chilled. Water temperature seemed cool, maybe 85-ish. Not bad in this heat. Overall, I think it's the best casino / hotel in the Valley.
Was only here for one night but was very impressed with the Resort. They upgraded us to a very nice suite. The pool area was very nice but lots of kids!. Will stay here again when in the area. Casino area was very clean as was the whole complex.
I admit, I am a bit of a gambling addict. As a transplant from MN, I was so excited to have casino's everywhere. I had a great time at Talking Stick and Wild Horse Pass but I found what I was missing at Wekopa! I remember the old Fort McDowell Casino, it was OK but Wekopa is the newest casino in Arizona. It is beautiful, amazing, ask one of the natives about the incredible atrium and the meaning behind every natural, native gemstone behind it. That is only the beginning. You will quickly be on as first name basis with all the VIP hosts, Eva and Ben especially and all the amazing wait staff, slot attendants, bartenders and servers. BEST OF ALL... it is BY FAR, the most winningest casino in the valley. I am delighted to say I am the lucky jackpot winner of TWO jackpots over $25, 000 each in the last 6 months. That's what matters to me in the end. Did I mention that I LOVE THIS CASINO??? Spent the weekend in a complimentary suite arranged by my amazing casino hosts, Ben and Eva. it was the BEST birthday ever. Thank you.
Stayed here for a two day meeting/retreat and the place is perfect for it. First, being somewhat away from the main sprawl of Phoenix, you do feel like you are away and can focus on your meetings. Room was comfortable and well taken care of (as I see there was a recent remodel). Pool looks great but I didn't get the chance to go play. Meeting room was well set up with good audio-visual, comfort, and tasty meals (although the scrambled eggs were a bit salty). I really liked this place and would probably come back again with my family with the various restaurant options and the chance for adults to play in the casino. For those concerned about COVID protocols, staff wore masks and there was sanitizer everywhere, including at each elevator bay. I did not pay for the room, as I am sure there was a group discount, but looking online the prices are very reasonable.
Money well spent! Rooms are very clean and quiet. We had a patio room adjacent to the pool and it was very relaxing, no complaints. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Looking forward to my next stay.
This resort is so beautiful. The staff is kind and accommodating. We dined at Ember which was delicious! Lots of places to get a pic of the best Arizona has to offer The piano player made me feel like I was on the best date with my hubby. I like to play slots and once again, brand new machines and comfortable seating. No smoking is always a win in my book. The rooms smell great to this picky guest. The only down side was having to leave…
The entire experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel, casino and pool and grounds were beautiful and incredibly neat and clean. The hotel, casino and hallways smelled amazing at all times. The entire staff from the receptionists to food service and housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Dan the banquet manager was very friendly and the food was great. I left an expensive curling iron in my room and Sarah in housekeeping was so sweet and helpful in ensuring it was returned to me.
