Being regular customers, we were both awed that a new design was in the midst a few years ago. But after their revamp, I’ve grown accustomed to its new face! It’s a grand new and improved bar, not to mention all the finished redesign of the lobby, portico, restaurant and lounge – great job Phoenician! The bar is perfectly set where bar folk look straight out to the panoramic view of our beautiful Valley of the Sun! While waiting for our Phoenician Afternoon Tea, we were enthralled by the new design, layout and furnishings in the lounge area! One has options to sit in modestly post-art deco modern-style seating – whether high top table or comfortable cushioned seating, or straight up at the bar. This last time we visited, showed me their consistent and impeccable imbibing offerings. Since construction was finished, we decided to visit a few more times – and for the most part, the Thirsty Camel is a gracious rejuvenation and design of a standard we really did not imagine could be done. And, the new environ is really conducive to ‘lounging’ and sipping any of their concoctions of which I must say, the Co-Pilot is a fabulous elixir – my better half preferred a very, very good Piper Sonoma Rosé Glass. While my concoction was prepared with finesse, the glass was small – at least that’s what my taste buds thought! Not to mention, their Co-Pilot; Yucca chips and pecans; or anything else available on the menu. Go lounge!

A glass of wine and a vodka cocktail - $50. But sitting on the terrace with a great view - excellent.
We stopped in for an after dinner drink and possibly desert around 9pm. The inside bar was pretty empty and we asked if we could sit outside. I specifically asked if we needed to get an order from the bar and take it out and we were told that someone would be out to take our order right away. Well after sitting outside at a table for 15 minutes, we left. no one ever came out to take our order... Thus the reason for 1 star. It's a shame, the patio is nice and has a great view.
Great place to hang out and watch football on a Sunday night.
Beautiful views, great appetizers and fantastic service. Great place for a late afternoon drink and snack.
This bar has a beautiful second floor patio with views of the pool and mountains. We sat there and immediately got waters but were not able to get our drinks ordered for sometime. We talked to a bar tender and server trying to order and were told we would be helped right away, but that neither were our server so they couldn't' take our order. Finally we went back to bar and were able to order. We understand the there are staff shortages so things will take longer, but no one stopped by our table to even let us know they knew we were there. We had to flag down a nearby server and go to the bar twice. Beautiful view, Adobe Mule was also very tasty, hopefully they get some more support.
We were lucky to have had a conference there aroound Mothers Day. We visited this bar every evening and the service was impeccable. They have a wide selection of alcohols, wimes and aspertiffs. Highly recommend.
Beautiful setting in a luxury hotel and spa. The hotel caters to golfers so the bar had a lot of golfers and was a bit noisy. Had the atmosphere perfect for an upscale drink an light snack.
This is a lovely bar with a great view of the Phoenician grounds. We sat at the bar once, and on the patio another time, and both times the staff were attentive, friendly, and quick. The views are beautiful, and the quality of the drinks is excellent. A great spot for a drink before or after dinner.
