We were excellently treated by every member of the staff who were friendly and engaging. The restaurant was great with a nice variety on the menu and well prepared dishes. The rooms were clean and, with the sole exception of the air conditioning units, quiet. The lake made for a lovely contrast to the desert dry with birds and greenery. Absolutely recommend.
My daughter and I had such a great time at the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch. Room service is so fast. The pool is clean and the perfect temperature. The staff is superbly friendly and helpful. It's also very beautiful. Best staff and best pool cleanliness of any place we've been.
Very nice weekend getaway. Staff very friendly and attentive to request. Stacy was my favorite person to talk to. Pool area very clean but lots of kids in the pool. If your looking for a quiet day at the pool this is not for you. Food great and drinks pretty good.
Great vintage resort! Grounds are impeccable and the rooms are very large and in great shape--marble bathroom floors, 2 full sinks, huge walk-in closet. Short walk to many restaurants and great golf right next door. Nice pool area with comfy chairs and a great bar with great service!
the best romantic place to share love
We have been coming here for several years and love the place. Its close to home and very relaxing. What truly sets it apart from other properties is the area, and we've stayed at them all, are the two guys at the pool bar, Cal and Griffin. Cal has been tending bar here for a while and has ALWAYS been very personable and fun..not to mention his great drinks.. Griffin is very attentive and makes a great drink! We love them both! These guys are a large part of why we always come back!
The location was terrific, the staff was awesome from the front desk to the bell stand to the restaurant servers! Clean rooms, resort atmosphere, great pool! Can’t say enough about the Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch! We had a wonderful time, and since my daughter lives in town, we will be back! Thank you!
Loves Teachers! Shows that love too.
The staff here are fantastic but the actual resort is poor value. This is an extremely dated venue. Needs major refurbishment and the lay out is awful. We were stuck miles from reception and the antiquated elevators are few and far between. I would request a room close to the lobby or on the first floor somewhere. The worst thing is housekeeping is every 4 days. Whoever heard of that? So hygiene is questionable as our garbage cans were overflowing. We were there 4 nights and never saw anyone attempt to service our room. Would not recommend.
Poorly lit hallways with old dirty carpeting outgassing odors from years gone by. My immediate thoughts as I walked to my room carrying my bags was, lack of quality staffing and questionable security. Our room was pitch black upon opening the door, not inviting at all, and kind of scary actually. Online photos make the rooms look large, bright and cheerful, but ours was actually small, dark, and depressing. This place is clearly overdue for a much needed renovation. As for staff, Tyler at the front desk looked like an unmade bed, leaving me with the impression that anyone can get a job here if they just show up. The woman night manager wasn't any better, as she performed our check in with cheerless perfunctory disinterest and malaise. What happened to this place?! I stayed here a twice back in the mid 90's and it was a nice resort. Now it is nothing more than a Quality Inn with a country club. Sad. That said, the spa and its staff was nice.
