Stayed in July 2022. No food or drink service at the pool after 6PM . They started trimming branches outside my room at 6 AM. Charged me for mini bar services that I didn't use. Terrible customer service from front desk. You can find a lot better options in Phoenix for the price.
This was my first time ever in Arizona & I had a great trip! The room I stayed in (deluxe suite) was clean, spacious, and had a comfy bed w/ a Chromecast-enabled TV so I could wind down at night w/ my streaming apps.The entire hotel was very elegant and had a large variety of activities to keep us busy. Everything was clean and well-kept by the employees, all of whom were quite possibly the nicest hotel staff I’ve interacted with (and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels lol.)I want to give a shout-out to the woman who checked us in, Ireland. She was extremely helpful, kind, and personable. (She even gifted my brother and his wife with snacks + a stuffed animal for their 8-month-old baby after mentioning it was their first time traveling as parents.) To whoever is in charge: Ireland needs a raise!
Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and a couple friends with a high English tea. The petite sandwiches were tasty and the desserts were amazing! The staff was excellent looking after our needs. The only thing that would have improved the ambiance was that the piano music was way too loud. All in all we had a wonderful time and a great memories were made.
I recently had my third stay on a recent long weekend at the Phoenician and I'll say that I have always enjoyed the resort. The staff, pools and location are fantastic for a nice getaway. However, this time around I was double charged for items at the pool area on the last day of my stay, which has been over a month and still is not settled. At the pool area, you are asked to sign a card to authorize charges to the room which will automatically tag on additional 20% gratuity if leaving the pool area. I made sure to close out the checks before departing the pool area and resort that day. To my surprise, I later received a hotel invoice where I was double charged that day for items even though I had closed out the checks. I'm not sure if it was an honest mistake (happened on more than one charge) or intended. I called the hotel the next day and spoke to an associate manager and he said he would take care of it. Unfortunately, nothing happened after a month and i've recently been back and forth with calling the hotel and accounting. The fact that I am still going back and forth with the hotel after a month to dispute the charges is absurd. No one should have this inconvenience when they were not in the wrong.
The stay was amazing until 430am when I went to use the bathroom and there was a cockroach the size of my damn thumb running around the toilet. I killed it and called the front desk who sent someone to dispose of it. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night. Staff seemed pretty indifferent to it and explained that the resort butts up to the mountain. This might be true and this may be normal for Arizona in July, but I’ve never heard or experienced it before and will not return. Besides this issue the stay was great.
Everything from the check in process, getting additional amenities, and ordering food from the hotel restaurants was easy and convenient. I want to especially thank Vanessa at the front desk, Cameron from the Kalio poolside restaurant, and Dwi at the marketplace. They truly know how to provide excellent guest service!
Expected just a bit more for how the rate and billing as a luxe hotel. Service was great, pool options (ESPECIALLY the adult only pools) were great, spa facilities were great. Wish the spa offered a wider variety of services, restaurants had later hours and more consistently great food, more shopping options on the complex.
Very nice property. Service is great. Deluxe room with balcony was very spacious with a comfy king bed, ample closet space, double vanity, large TV, nice shower and a relaxing jacuzzi tub.The foyer has a nice bar and ample comfy seating. There are many restaurants on site and some nice shops (though expensive).
