I was visiting Scottsdale and asked the staff at the hotel I was staying at a good breakfast place. Without hesitation they said The Breakfast Joynt. It was excellent!! I had the Bruce’s bowl with pancakes and it was incredible. Matter of fact I went there 2 days straight and ordered it again. It’s a lot of food but the ingredients are fresh and homemade. The pancakes were special and the taste told you they weren’t your average cakes. Wish we had one in Northern Virginia!
We stayed in the area and saw a local place for breakfast. We were very excited to give it a try. The restaurant is nice and seemed clean. For some reason we could not seem to make a positive connection with the server. We came in and saw several tables clean and ready. We asked to sit at a particular table and that seemed to trigger the server. Not sure why.She seemed frustrated with us throughout our meal. Food was good but having to flag her down repeatedly was odd. This is not a big place, and it was not busy, but we felt unimportant. If we unintentionally created an issue I wish we could have discussed it. We left full but confused.
If I could give this place no stars I would. My waitress was very nice but for $22 and feeling sick I will not be returning. I have been running to the bathroom every since I left this morning. The only thing I could really eat was the waffle which was a just a bit undercooked inside and my soft scramble eggs didn't really taste quite right which could be a combination of both and why I'm feeling sick, I tried eating the bacon and picked through the hash browns for crispy parts. The bacon was thick and rubbery which I had placed an extra side order of bacon thinking it would be crispy when my order came out as it looked crispy but was a chewy rubbery mess. When I asked my very nice waitress to ask the chef if he could make me crispy bacon it came out burnt, did I say burnt. The hash browns were also under cooked and had a strange taste I should have taken photos. I didn't want to complain and send the food back because I don't feel comfortable doing that argo receiving burnt bacon after my request, I even told the waitress to let the chef know that all was fine as again I don't like sending food back especially this being my first time eating at this restaurant. I truly hope my stomach upset goes away soon as my tummy is now sore from going so much after eating that food. It's to bad as I really was hoping I'd found my new breakfast eatery. If not for becoming ill I would have not left a review and would have just never returned. The folks that eat here either have iron stomachs or their food is cooked properly. Much better breakfast options in the area. Again I really wanted to like this place. This was the Bell Rd and 64th St. location in Scottsdale, AZ
Ordered eggs benedict, got soft boiled eggs and what appears to be / taste like canned hollandaise sauce. When I sent it back they switched out the eggs leaving everything else on the plate. The appropriate course of action would to be to replace the whole dish.Potatoes were cold too. I won't be returning.
Excellent service from ‘Luke R’!!Love to such a friendly ‘team’ at this establishment!Food came out very quickly, and loved my, not too sweet, Caramel Macchiato!Eggs, Corned Beef Hash, etc - were cooked perfectly, as always, & we really enjoy their gravy!I have also enjoyed their Chicken Fried Steak Meal, Build Your Own Omelet, and their scrumptious Chorizo Chimi!Meals are always very filling,.. we usually take home leftovers!Very clean,..tables are distanced with nice open space throughout!There is some outdoor patio dining as well,..Will return!
My daughter, friend and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast with splendid service in this cute atmosphere last Friday. When we asked for the check we found that a couple from another table with whom we had no contact HAD PAID OUR BILL! Today is Random Acts of Kindness day and I wanted to recognize these generous people. They made our day and restored our faith in humanity.
The food was tasty. The wait staff was attentive. The only reason for a 4 star review was because I had to add a bit of salt to my scrambled eggs.
Very pleasant service. Menu was just right for breakfast/ lunch fare. Enjoyed the experience. Suggestions: serve butter with pancakes and cream and sugar with coffee.

This is a fun place in the neighborhood for a breakfast. Excellent specials for each weekday, would recommend ham and cheese omelette (Weds). My order of the healthy burrito was missing salsa and asparagus and spinach made it very wet, though. The service was okay (no checking in of everything was okay), it was a busy morning with a large group at the back, so all good.
