Excellent date night restaurant. Food was great, service was friendly and perfect. Nothing negative at all!

Food, service, and ambience were fantastic! We will definitely be back for our next special occasion. We really only had two pieces of feedback. First, the octopus is the best we’ve had in the valley, but it’s also the smallest portion we’ve seen. Less than half of the size we’re accustomed to at other fine dining spots. Second, the cocktail menu is a bit lacking. Would be great to have one of the many talented bar tenders in the valley riff off the food menu/theme to create a few craft cocktails to match the cuisine. Overall we can’t wait to return!

The servers and staff were friendly, fun and efficient. Truly appreciate their attentiveness and and courteous nature. The views are phenomenal! The menu has some interesting Spanish tapas. We began with the French Chardonnay and an Oregon pinto blanco. Both great choices. We tried the chorizo queso and the shrimp. Both were fine. Nothing spectacular. We shared the Talavera paella. The piece of lobster was great, as was the pork belly. Personally I did not like the taste of the mussels (and I love mussels). It was plenty for two to share and we added the roasted squash. Again, nothing notable about the dishes we chose. We decided to have cappuccinos and the churros. Both were good. We will try this restaurant again and choose some different dishes. Service was outstanding! Thank you for taking care of us.

Our waitress Amy was awesome! The views are awesome! The food was awesome! I will definitely go there again when I'm back in scottsdale

This was a great meal. Setting was beautiful and we lucked out with good weather in the evening. Staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable and friendly. Eager to return.

Birthday celebration

We had dinner Saturday and thought the food was quite good, with some outstanding ideas, and other areas of improvement. The service was a bit lackluster, and not up expectations for a restaurant of this caliber. Our server had an air of arrogance, treating it like just another job, and perhaps did not have his heart or mind in it that evening. He presented the menu and the specials to us, without bothering to make eye contact -- a sure sign of trouble. When we ordered the specials, he took down the entree, but totally ignored the appetizer. So when one of our appetizers came to the table, we were left wondering what happened to the other. He never checked back to see how it tasted either. We had to flag down another server to help us. But he did try to rectify things later by being a bit more attentive. The Pan con Tomate was somewhat under-seasoned. The Noble bread was extremely crusty -- we almost cracked a tooth or more. While the heirloom tomato was fresh, it needed something else to give it a kick. The Hamachi crudo (special we were missing) was outstanding. Perfect accompaniments of radish, melon, dehydrated lime, and chiles. The Filete a la mostaza was also good. But, we found the carrot puree somewhat dried out, and the filet was surprisingly gristly in some areas. The demi glace was perfectly prepared. The horseradish salad came out replaced by a small clump of cilantro which was not very exciting. The Bison tenderloin was the opposite -- a bit overcooked (beyond medium rare), but still excellent and very tender. The bacon wrap was nice, but we would have preferred that it be crispier. Some parts of it were and these complemented the tenderloin wonderfully. Otherwise the undercooked bacon fat was not very pleasant. The seared foie gras, charred grapes, gastrique and peach mole were perfect for the tenderloin. Bravo! If Chefs Sanz and Kazmer can come up with this, they can refine the Filete a la mostaza to a higher level as well!

Gambas was fabulous, as for the rest, the steak was less than average and the lamb shank was confused to whether it was meant to be Spanish, french or Moroccan, all accomps were below par and service was interrupting throughout, but hey, you might like that kind of service, whereas we prefer more subtle approach to our evening out and don't really need our servers to take over the experience! Overall very disappointing for a couple returning to Four Seasons after being unable to do so for the last couple of years, might be another couple of years before we think about returning sadly as Four Seasons seems to have disappeared so to speak !

As usual. The food was excellent. The service as troublesome in that our table was not cleared when we finished. Finally, a server from another section cleared our table and apologized. We are owners at the Residence Club and always enjoy Talavera. Hopefully, this was a one off.

Lobster tostada w salmon roe was delicious, grilled octopus was tender, tomato sauce was slightly smoked, enhancing every bite. Lamb shank was fall off the bone tender, interesting sauce and prunes…basque almond cake was delightful.
