marvelous birthday celebrations, we come back every year for delicious, fresh French cuisine, 100% gluten-free kitchen! See you next year, or sooner whenever I can come visit family in Arizona.

My family visited Phoenix from California. We dined at Sapien because the restaurant provided clean eating options. We were not disappointed when we ate there 3 days out of the four days we were in Phoenix. We met the chef and her husband who are very friendly and great to talk to. My family can’t stop talking about the food we ate there. Everything was fresh, and delicious. My daughter said the Chef Aurore (sp) bone broth was better than mine. I have to agree. See you next time we’re in Phoenix

Absolutely incredible food. Don’t forget that it’s byob. If you want wine with your dinner you must bring it.

It was the best dinner I have ever had in my 39 years of life.

Everything we ate was delicious! The paleo bread platter, bone broth, salmon, apple crumble- and all made with fresh ingredients and good for you! Will definitely be a regular of Sapiens and also will do meal prep too. Great place and food! Such a hidden gem.

Incredible dining experience! I have to eat paleo due to autoimmune disease and desire to be healthy. To find a restaurant where I could eat everything on the menu is a rare find, and even more rare is a full menu offering appetizers, entrees and desserts - and not just a salad or bowl. Sapiens is a culinary delight, delicious, healthy, with good size servings. My husband usually cringes at a paleo restaurant (concerned he is going to eat unsavory or exotic food) and French fare (rich food with tiny servings) but thoroughly enjoyed all the flavors and portion sizes. We will be back!

The food was very tasty, but the service had a few challenges. Arriving at 4pm, it was surprising that the main course of a Prix Fixe event took over 1 hr 20 min to be served. Multiple dishes included veggies not listed on the menu, and one of the dishes was served lukewarm after the long wait. The staff did address the warmth of the food, but little discussion was held to explain the delays and menu changes.

We love that there is a paleo restaurant nearby. The owner is passionate about healthy food and the connection to good health. As am I. Everything was delicious. The beef filet was grass fed and cooked perfectly. The asparagus soup was spectacular. Dessert was equally delicious. We are lucky have this restaurant close by. If healthy eating is important to you, I highly recommend this place. There restaurant is small so I would also recommend reservations.

It is Paleo, so not for everyone. Chef Aurora is French trained and is excellent.

Disappointed, considering the overall good reviews. Food was good and as expected, though "French" in description is not accurate. Regular menu not available and only a 3 course menu offered for Mother's day, with no choice for desert. There were 4 of us and 2 ordered the filet and both were quite overcooked. Our food came intermittently in a haphazard manner. The worst part was the service, or lack of. Our waitress was totally disinterested and disengaged. She looks she did not want to be here. Another waitress kept refilling our water and was more pleasant and had a smile. Based on the service, will not return and cannot recommend.
