This excellent coffee shop has been a staple in Scottsdale for more than forty years, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.The menu is varied and inexpensive, and they will serve you just about anything to your exact order. Dishes are frequently served within only four or five minutes after ordering.Randy himself is present most days, and the service purrs along smoothly and quickly. Many of the servers have been on the staff for years, and that in and of itself speaks volumes.The restaurant is closed for most major holidays, and closes earlier on others. If you are looking for good food at an inexpensive price, this is your place to be.

Food was tasty, home cooking. (Was looking for a chicken fried steak). Service was quick and friendly. We had dinner around 7 pm- near closing time but was not rushed. VeryReasonable prices for the area. Hint- You can substitute a vegetable for ice cream. Yes please.
Heck yes! Loved finding this low key restaurant with very good food at an unbeatable price. The wait staff was so sweet and tentative as well. I got the hot mess burger but made it not spicy, and it was fantastic. My fiancé got the meatloaf which was also good. All came out to $25, which these days is rare to fill up on. Will definitely come back to try the breakfast and pot roast!
Comfort food at its finest. This place caters to an older crowd, so salt is at a minimum. Also, and something important to know, this place only takes cash. There's an ATM on the premises for those who need it. Still, we had excellent service and excellent food. We will be back!
Update March 2022: Still the best food and service in town. The menu is very diverse, yet whatever you order always comes incredibly fast. Try Randy’s once and you’ll become a regular, too.Original review from November 2020: Even though we don’t live close, we have been coming here more and more often because the food and service is always so exceptional. Staff is friendly and the kitchen is the fastest we have ever seen. Keep up the great work!
Disappointed in the service I received. While I was telling the server what I wanted he asked me to step aside so he could process three customers who had dinner. He did not know they sold ice cream in pints. The ice cream selection is li.ited to about 8 choices.
Probably the worst customer service I have had in the last 15 years. While I have been traveling around the world. The quality of service is really lacking especially for the area that this restaurant is located. Located. It is obvious that there are a bunch of old timers that come to this restaurant because it is out of habit and not because of the quality of food. It could definitely use some updating and some better waitressing. The floors were dirty and the table was sticky. They only take cash as well. I will never go to this restaurant again.
I am surprised by all the high ratings. The food was okay, tasted like slightly better than a frozen dinner. The staff looked less than happy to be there, and the man that appeared to be running the place seemed a bit controlling of the staff. We will not be visiting here again, too many other great places to eat in the city.
Local favorite eatery. Busy much of the day. I had half sandwich option which had choice of soup, salad and other options. Even a small scoop of ice cream included. Great meal for $9. Service was excellent. Order delivered quickly. I'll be back when I'm in the area.
The service here is amazing. We were served by Debbie and she made our day. Seriously the kindest, happiest woman. We left Randy's with full bellies feeling happy
