Finally a trip to Preston's without something going wrong!! Everything was pretty much perfect this trip. My only gripe is the lighting... I know it's an ambiance thing, but almost everyone I saw had to use their flashlight on their phone to see the menu.... maybe turn up the lights a few notches. The strawberries fondue is a must try for dessert.
Perfect night! Food, staff, noise level etc were all good.
I made reservations to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday and they put us in a private room so the noise wasnât so loud and really made the experience special. Iâm incredibly thankful and this is just one of the many reasons this is our favorite restaurant.
Enjoyed our meal, it did go up in price quite a bit. Very nice atmosphere and service was great.
This was our first time trying Preston's we usually go to Mastro's across the street. Now we have a new favorite place! We tried a bunch of different things and were pleased. We started with a cheese platter which had 4 very good cheeses and two pieces of each so we were both able to try them all. Two nice jams, ok crackers and some dried cranberries. They had LaMarca prosecco which is my wife's favorite and I had the red sangria which was fruity and not too sweet. The breadbasket was warm and fresh with a nice selection. I had the clam chowder which my wife and I agree was as good as we have ever had. She tried the french onion soup which was only ok. I had the " bar menu" prime rib which was plenty with everything else we ordered. I also had french fries with it and the portion was huge and perfectly crispy. She had two crab cakes which are quite large, she only finished one. The other was my lunch today. I don't usually spend this amount of time on a review but we wanted to share our terrific experience. The wait staff was friendly, made good suggestions and timed their deliveries and clearing perfectly. Our best dinner experience in quite a while. Dale
Always a fun place for casual or fine dining with good food and excellent service (which is not easy to come by these days). Our server, Dawn, was excellent! Thank you.
Food was not good.
Very nice experience, with a great waitress - Lori - and a team effort at serving and clearing the table. Nice, subdued environment far from the noisy bar. Food was excellent all around; smoked prime rib was a treat.
The food and service are great but the prices have gone off the charts. Three of us shared two entree's, one salad, one veggie, and one desert. We shared a bottle of wine and one of us had two drinks. The wine was 50% off, which brought it down to just a little more than you'd pay in a grocery store, so that was nice. But we still paid nearly $300 with tip for the meal. That's nearly $100 each and we shared just about everything. I think we're probably priced out of dinner at Preston's at this point and we've eaten there quite a few times in the last year. Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time paying this much at any restaurant. At this point, I'd only recommend them for people who don't care how much they spend.
Preston's Delmonico's are the greatest! The Martinis with Purity (from Sweden) were the great start to dinner -- with 50% off the wine made for a "great value". Our Server Jeff made our anniversary dinner a pleasure!
