A stop at Portillo's is a must every time we are in the area. It's a great treat to have Chicago's best in Scottsdale. As usual, we indulged in a beef, hotdog, salad, shake and of course the chocolate cake - all were excellent! Can't wait for Portillo's to make it's debut in the Dallas area. In the meantime, we savored our visit in Scottsdale!
Good Italian beef sandwich… comparative prices… vey fast
The interior is really cool looking but I thought the food was just okay. Jumbo chili dogs weren’t that ‘jumbo’ and kind of overpriced for what it is (around $6). Fries were alright and the hamburger was decent. The shakes were kind of bland. Something was missing in the flavor/consistency. Service wasn’t super friendly, kind of robotic. Tables were sticky and not cleaned despite it being fairly empty inside.Overall, I prefer a Wienerschnitzel or Costco hot dog much more. We ended up leaving here still hungry.
We visit this establishment regularly. We love the food and feel of Chicago! Our favorite is the Chicago beef/sausage combo plate with sweet/hot peppers. The shake with cake pieces is delicious if you are up to the calories intake!
This location serves food just as good as what I had in Chicago. The Italian beef was big and tasted great. My brother loved the Chicago dogs. Their crinkle cut fries were perfectly crispy and not too salty. These are so much better than fries with potato skin.
Great place for Chicago grub. Chicago Dogs, Italian Beef, Italian Sausage and my favorite, The Combo.
I have to give a huge shout out and Thank you to the team and management tonight. We showed up there about 6:30 pm with a pretty large to go order. 12 Big Beefs, 8 Chicago Dogs with the toppings on the side, and 5 large fries..They had that order put together and out to us within 10 minutes. I thought for sure it would take at least a half hour or more. If you have a large crowd to feed please don't hesitate to show up at the restaurant will take good care of your hungry group.
We frequently go to Portillo's for an inexpensive meal. We always get the same thing, because if you like it why change. The big beef sandwich is my favorite and my wife likes the Chicago hotdog. French fries or onion rings are good for your side dish. It is "no frills" dining at its best.
Always love Portillos! This places just has great food and the service this time was awesome. Friendly and helpful. I got the number 1 beef San which and it was amazing with a chocolate shake.
Great French fries. Ask them for extra crispy. The dogs were tasty but not charcoal grilled which was disappointing. Very busy and yet I received my meal within 10 minutes of ordering. Refills on all drinks.
