Scenery is excellent of the course & mountains, staff was attentive & professional. The food is BLAH ! burger was very thin & tasteless, coleslaw was watered down & all the food was overpriced for the portion size. Won't be returning to Phil's grill.
Best kept secret for beautiful patio dining in North Scottsdale! Plenty of options for everyone, including GF choices. Friendly service!

Decided to try this place tonight with the hubby since we had heard the wings were great. Calamari app was not hot, turkey, Brie wrap had no Brie whatsoever in it, and prime rib sandwich was over cooked. We were never asked about refills on our drinks as our waitperson was too busy yapping at a neighboring table. Atmosphere was nice but food and service under par. For the prices, would have expected more.
Excellent food and service. The restaurant has several seating options from 2 indoor areas and one covered area outside, and there is always takeout. The three of us ate different meals, and no one complained. We will definitely return. And its family friendly.
Phil's Grill is a nice place for a casual lunch with a nice view of the 18th hole. Nice selection of apps (recommend the shrimp) and entrees (branzino and salmom). Service is okay with a super young group of wait staff. Wine selection mediocre.
Service was good but I did not enjoy what I ordered. Only 1/2 of our party finished their food because it was just okay. Beautiful back patio.
Have been here before. It is a great place to eat out on the huge patio. Get to watch golfers go by and play a hole in front of you. The server Scott was professional, courteous, and catered to our dining wants and needs. I had a half club sandwich and cup of corn chowder soup. Delicious. My friend had a half tuna salad sandwich and cup of corn chowder . The outside patio was packed every table occupied on a Friday noon time. Service was terrific. Great selection on the menu. Huge parking lot for golfers and people wanting to eat inside/ outside. Highly recommend
This lady named kassie lofler was soo kind to me♥ she gave me so much food and even paid for a motel for me, she always does charity by feeding all the homeless people near her restaurant♥♥ i wish the best for this quean
One of my very favorite places ever since I moved in Scottsdale 19 years ago has been Phils grill… Food is always excellent and service on point… Couple of my favorite dishes the Navajo corn chowder is a staple, and the super greens quinoa salad, highly recommend fun place, and best place you could possibly go without joining a fancy country club
