I used to love going to this place before pandemic. After pandemic something has changed but the food doesn't taste fresh any more. Not sure what has changed, but their meet now feels like chewing on a rubber rather than meet. In the past five months I have been only few times, hoping for the best, and after tasting my food I keep telling my self not to go there again. Hope they improve on the quality of their food.
It’s been a few years since I’ve eaten at a Pei Wei. Even though there’s a variety of dishes that look great, my dish was dripping in grease. I ordered Drunken Noodle with tofu and vegetables. I couldn’t finish my meal because of the amount of oil and/or grease that was in the dish. On a positive note, the person who took our order was friendly and professional.
Just ordered a General Tsos chicken. The meat was SO OLD! Rubbery and chewy. It certainly wasn't seasoned as it should have been. Not spicy AT ALL. DRY AS A BONE. Only decent thing was the rice, which you can't screw up. Awful. Will try this place 1 last time. If it doesn't improve I'm not coming back ever again. Plus I will write another review.
Its usually mediocre . I ordered through google maps. I walked in. The foul broad at the cash register did not even look up. She pointed to my food. On the shelf. The gyoza were cold and slimy. Not like they had been sitting and cooled off. But like they never ever warmed em up. Everything else sucked too. Wontons were cold and hard and chewy. The place is slow. So I always figure they’ll step up. I go about once every 6-8 months cuz I forget how much I dislike the place. And I’m starving. I would be very upset if that was my store and people like that cashier were representing my brand. ???????????????????????????
This place just cannot get anything right. Every time I order they mess something up. On the rare occasions they getvit right the food is sub-par. Go to another location trust me.
Just went to this pei wei 1/28 and I got the Thai donuts. 2 orange chickens and one with noodles. It was by far the hottest dish I have ever had! I don't know what they changed or if they messed up our order but it was wayyy to hot!! My husband was sweating while trying to eat it!! And the workers seem to not give any care about anything in the world. The one lady we had did not smile once and seemed like she wanted to just cry. So much attitude when we asked for napkins too! By far the worst location I have ever been to and the worst food.
Food can be really good here but for the price that they charge their portion sizes too small. Nice, clean, and friendly restaurant though.
DO NOT ODER FOR DELIVERY FROM THIS LOCATION! Food gets to you average of an hour past quoted delivery time . No one picks up the phone; no recourse. OVER IT!!!
Really sad to see how one of our go-to faves has gone downhill. We just ordered online tonight and the menu was so different, we couldn't even find out old stand by of the Pei Wei spicy tofu...finally found it and ordered. Went to store to pick up takeout and texted from parking spot, waited and waited. Went in and guy working register said the text system doesn't work (then mgmt should take down signs). Got home and was disappointed by the Spicy tofu...slimy and wiggly tofu instead of the firm meaty tofu of the past. What a letdown. Went to crunch into the crab won tons, usually our kids fave, and out oozed a brown cream...definitely not what we've had before.On the plus side, my husband said the new green beans side dish was tasty.I don't know if all these changes have come with the sale to a new corporation, but we won't be back. Like I said at the beginning, makes me sad.
Ordered teriyaki chicken with noodles. Please update me if my expectations are too high standard or my version of Teriyaki sauce is different. The noodles were over brown water thinner than Soy sauce which one can visualize to be Teriyaki and eat it.
