Great place for great food! The Katsu Chicken is my favorite and everything else on the menu is good too!
Delicious as usual.. I got the lunch plate. Fish, teriyaki chicken, cabbage, two scoops of rice and one scoop of macaroni salad ??… the strawberry drink was delicious. I didn’t care for the pineapple orange. I paid $28 for two lunch plates.
The food is ok. I went in here with a friend to pick some food up to go. After we paid we sat down to wait and were talking when we realized we had been sitting for quite some time. No one else was in the restaurant except the 2 of us and3-4 employees behind the registers and coming, etc.. we looked at the receipt and seen we had been waiting for over 30 min! They completely forgot about us, which is amazing because they couldn’t look anywhere in the restaurant without seeing us! Then when we asked for extra sauce the girl gave my friend a hard time and said that they are limited in the amount that they can give away. I don’t know how that can be true because they have a big huge bucket full of it that you can pump out and it was empty at that time. And this was probably about an hour before close. I won’t go back.
The waiting time for your food is insane. It took 25 minutes from ordering to walking out. Super slow. I think they only have one guy in the kitchen. Food is nothing special to rave about. I ordered the chicken BBQ and Chicken Katsu. Both came without sauce or dip and were rather bland. For 11 bucks a meal you could expect a little more. Portion size was good though.
Fast food dining. Food served hot as it should be. Clean. Hawaiian music playing . Hawaiian soft drinks.
Due to dietary restrictions when I go to a new place I ask what is in the food and how is it prepared. The girl behind the counter assured me it was boneless chicken breast. I asked 2 times and said I would take the teriyaki chicken with chicken breast. After a 30 minute wait (there were 2 orders before ours) our food arrived. It was NOT chicken breast, it was fatty and it was all dark meat! We complained and yes they did make it right by making more teriyaki chicken with the correct part of the chicken. Another 20 minutes later I had chicken but was now too full after eating the rice and macaroni salad from the fatty chicken I was served. By the way, if you want healthy brown rice this isn't the place for you. And the menu is confusing. If you want a usual "combo" thinking it includes a drink and some type of side, think again, you're going to get some kind of breaded and fried chicken. Not healthy either.
Came here for the first time this last weekend and it was perfect! The food tasted super fresh, like made to order fresh. Crispy chicken katsu that wasn’t oily and macaroni salad that was the right consistency.The inside is on the small side but clean and has nice Hawaiian music. Staff here were friendly and greeted everyone that entered. Portions were large and very filling for price. Overall, it’s great Hawaiian BBQ and I’ll definitely be back!
First time visitor to this fast food establishment. Was truly a great experience. The food was delicious. Made fresh. Portions were adequate. Not to big. Leftovers for my wife. The Chicken Katsu was crunchy. Yet not dry. The sauce was a great addition. From the Katsu sauce and the Teriyaki Sauce. The manager was very friendly. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.
Staff always nice. Tasty food. Good rice (unlike panda's express cheap minute rice). Delicious pasta salad. You can ask for only rice if you prefer no the macaroni salad. I wish they had sriracha sauce, they do have hot sauce though. Delivery available with a delivery app like door dash.
Very very close to what I am used to having in the Islands. Need to have gravy though! Other wise dis da good stuff!! Mahalo for great service also!
