I would give this place a 5 star if a lot of the exhibits we're actually open. It's amazing place for all ages. Clean and a excellent assortment of fish. The 1st restroom inside the building was excellent, even if you don't have to use it you definitely need to go in so you can see the live sharks. The only drawback that I have is paying full price when the main exhibits I came to see were closed. The birds were off exhibit which was the main attraction I wanted to see since I'm a huge parrot lover, The otters were closed, The sturgeon area was shut down, And the main touch pool was closed. They were doing guided tours for kids, so they were much too busy to ask or answer any questions anybody else had. I can understand if you need to clean something and take an animal off exhibit but to shut down so many exhibits all at the same time is not a good system. I came all the way from Michigan to see this exhibit I expected more. Also pay close attention to what you pay for things in the gift shop I was overcharged $4 not a huge deal but something to consider.
This place was a lot of fun when visiting Scottsdale! We went after 4:30 for the cheaper price. The line outside was really long, but it’s probably because the online site wasn’t working. They have a pretty big aquarium. It took 3 adults roughly two hours to go through. The stadium seated event at the end was really cool! Took about 20 minutes & the seats rotate through different aquariums. It’s free with your ticket & we Highly recommend doing this! So much cool information. Staff was great! 100% recommend this for your trip!!
All the exhibits were good. They even have a audio tour guide which I felt was good. And then there was the virtual tour of sharks and sea lion great.
A great collection of sealife in the middle of the desert but be prepared to pay for it. Adult admission runs around $50, but if you are local, a year pass breaks even with two visits. Very clean and modern. Other activities around it which you can bundle to save a little, and a couple of restaurants on the property.
One of the best aquarium's we have visited. i love the mixture of freshwater and saltwater displays. The "submarine ride" is really cool.
Such a great place to spend time with family, individually, or as a group. There is something for everyone! My son’s favorite parts were the touching pools (there were three total that we saw). My favorite was Voyager, the rotating aquarium. It was such a fun, unique experience. When you go, make sure you don’t skip this part. You won’t be sorry.
Even the bathrooms are amazing. This is a wonderful afternoon adventure for the whole family. You can't go wrong. It is especially nice during the summer to get out of the heat and see the lovely sea life that the desert lacks. Watching the sharks being fed is an extra treat. Six stars if possible.
I took my preschool class here on a field trip and they loved every minute of it. We weren't able to get a guided tour, but the introduction by one of the staff was excellent and funny. Both touch pools were open during our visit which made our experience even better. I would recommend visiting the restroom at the entrance before going upstairs. There is a window into an aquarium instead of a mirror so you can watch the animals swim by as you say your hands. Definitely worth the trip.
Kids had a blast at the aquarium. Both the kids loved touching sting rays and other things such sea urchins sea anemones. The rotating aquarium was awesome, something new. And not to forget their restroom near the lobby… :-)
Great aquarium! It was a lot of fun. Go after 4:30pm to get the discounted rate. I wish the exhibits that allowed visitors to touch the animals (stingrays and sturgeon) was open, but the tide pool exhibit was open, so that was pretty cool. The rotating exhibit was really nice too. Very informative. We spent an hour and a half at the aquarium alone. Oh, and did I mention, "The World's Best Bathroom"!? No spoilers, you have to see it for yourself! ?
