The OBON Ramen bowl was outstanding, as was the pork bun! The Shishito peppers were definitely not cooked enough and our rainbow roll was average. The margarita was also excellent⦠We will return again.
We arrived before the restaurant became busy and had to ask for a server after being sat for almost 10 minutes without acknowledgement. The wings were not as they have been before, but the rest of the meal was much enjoyed.

Tried the jackfruit bao bun and veggie black ramen. The bao was soft and well flavored. The ramen didn’t have a lot of flavor depth but considering there are very few restaurants that offer a vegetarian option, it was good. The noodles were stickier than usual.
The servers at Obon at the grove are always incredible. Misha is amazing and although we are regulars to Obon, she helped us to find new, tasty items on the menu. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food!
I am so sad to share that I no longer enjoy Obon, the food is just not prepared well anymore and the menu continues to shrink. Most of the staff are transient so they hardly know what is on the menu or what to recommend. I will not be dining with you again...
No real service, pretty much the experience of fast food with table seating. Sushi was bland and poorly crafted. Appetizer dumplings gummy with the flavor and consistency of something stored too long and n the home freezer. 7 pm on Saturday night and the reservations certainly werenât necessary; servers barely going through the motions. We have given this place several tries because itâs right down the street, but Iân moving on. Experiences in the past have ranged from rudely bungled reservations to stomach distress (the rolls). I wanted to love the place. I just canât believe theyâre still in business.
Absolutely horrible service. Waited an hour for our appetizers. When we asked the waitress about our meal said she didn't know why it was taking so long. We asked to see the manager. One entree came out but the rest of our meals were no where to be found. The entree sat on our table for 20 mins before the manager came over. We overheard the hostess telling the table behind us that they were prioritizing Take Outs only. The manager said he could remake the entree that was sitting out for the last 20 mins but had no idea when the rest of our food would be made. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else which had much better service.
Good selection of sashimi and the Bao buns Sammy's are delicious
Really tasty sushi rolls and ramen. Enjoyed every bite.
