This was the second time for our group of ladies to gather for breakfast at this eatery. There were 15 of us and we had made our reservation ahead of time. The restaurant has a back seating area where they provide service in a more private way. Our server, Susie, had our places set and hot coffee and tea service out and ready for us upon arrival. I want to say that I did not hear one negative complaint about the food or service. The ladies had so many choices from their extensive menu....We will return again! Thanks Joe and Susie as well as the chefs in the back for a wonderful early morning experience.
This truly reminds me of an school NY deli. Menu is comprehensive and includes all the deli meats, cheese, breads and fish you'd expect to see offered. My roast beef sandwich was delicious. The meat was super tender and flavorful and the rye bread was delicious as well. I was impressed with their ranch dressing - it was so thick and creamy that it made me wonder whether it might be housemade. Server was very helpful, polite and our food arrived quickly. We also bought bagels and bialys to bring home along with a tub of their housemade cream cheese. Slightly crisp on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside - slathered with cream cheese they were perfect for breakfast the next morning. Looking forward to trying their whitefish salad next time.
Great food and nice environment. Food was awesome!!! We will be coming back. I'm a Upstate NYer and I haven't had a decent Bialy in 30 years until eating here. Had a group of 20 people with us and everyone said food was great so I can confidently say this place is great especially if your fro. The east coast and miss quality Bagels and Billy's and other NY style Faire.
Mediocre deli. Food was ok. Didn't really hit the spot. Place was empty and could use a refurb. Staff was friendly. Wouldn't return.
We have really tried to like this place, failure after failure has led to us just letting it go.As a NY native, it's difficult to find food that tastes like home. I gave NYBB 2 stars because the bagles are actually really good. Unfortunately, the service is really bad both eating in the restaurant and take out. Orders are never right in either capacity. In addition, we tried to call and explain that our order was wrong having to throw it away. Left a voicemail, no return call either.
I really want to like this place because I work in the La Mirada complex, but every time I order take-out it's wrong. E V E R Y T I M E. For example... I ordered a bialy w/veggie cream cheese and 2 eggs. I got 1 egg, but paid for 2 eggs. So annoying, but understandable because the woman who answered the phone and took my order clearly hated her job w/her bad attitude and lack of a thank you. Why would she care if my order was correct? How hard is it to be pleasant to people? Not hard.
Great service and bagels are sooooo good.
Food was good wait staff was a little overworked and frazzled. I did sit on the patio which might have contributed to that.The manager was very helpful and I will go back there.
What a great place for breakfast and lunch. Food was amazing. Definitely a place not to miss
