We wanted to close out the original location on their last night and celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great live music by Aussie Jim. Love the dark comfy interior and a bright comfy patio depending on the mood. Warm pillow breads with herb butter starts the meal. Impressive blue point oysters compared to others we had at another establishment. Hard to find decent oysters in Phoenix area. The modern mussel dish was stellar! Flavorful broth, chunks of quality chorizo and plump mussels. My favorite dish of the night on happy hour even! Brussel sprout side was another standout. The filet wasn't bad, some seasoning on it or the caesar salad make after meal hours unpleasant, but that's just me. Overall a wonderful place to dine with friendly owner to greet you and professional servers. New location opening in Sept as this place turns to rubble to make way for more tacky condos/apartments.
This is our favorite Arizona restaurant and we cannot wait for them to reopen this fall in their new location!

Fine menu, excellent waiter for information & selections. Great pacing of meal and the food was hot and excellent. The restaurant is moving to another location by Sept 15th or so. They are closing this location this coming Thursday, June 2nd. They are building out the old Charleston's restaurant on Scottsdale Rd & FLW.
Great table in front of the musician. Crab cakes were ok, but my burger was very good. Thaapple pie dessert was really delightful. A nice evening.

An overall excellent first time dining experience at Modern Oysterbar Chop. The setting was not as stuffy as is typical of most steakhouses, with a cool, contemporary decor. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the food was very good.
