The girlfriend and I are regulars and the old staff and chefs are great, the cappucino is the best around I've tried so far and I've been to a lot of places. Good beans, and usually prepared very well, the newer staff has a bit of learning to do though a bit inconsistent the last couple times we got it from them. The chef is great always hooks us up with healthy portion sizes. Some of the menu items are a bit to rich for my taste like the savory ham crepe, but I still enjoyed trying new things with the open faced turkey sandwich being my absolute favorite next to the regular pastries. The Belgium waffle with fruit is a great pick with natural whip cream for a sweet treat on a budget you get a lot of food! Will always be coming back here until anything drastic changes! Keep up the great work we love you guys!
One of THE best open-faced sandwiches I have ever eaten. This was the first time trying Merci French Cafe, and I ordered the Club (turkey, avocado, bacon). I will definitely be eating here again! It's soo good
Decided to stop in for breakfast/brunch on a Thursday with a party of 3.Extensive menu, with a large specials board. We got an array of eggs Benedict and some espresso. Everything was very good. The ambiance and environment was great. This would be a good spot to work during the day over a few cups of coffee.
AMAZING!!! AMAZING!!What a WONDERFUL, truly Fabulous 25 minutes of eating PLEASURE!! The croissants and Danish brought me back to France. These were made by a true pastry chef of the finest quality! The poached eggs and avocado toast breakfast was a delight!! I am so sad we are only visitors to Scottsdale, locals are truly blessed!!
I recently rediscovered this restaurant when some friends and I ordered take-out. I had lobster salad on a French baguette and it was fantastic. The sandwich was topped with avocado, red bell peppers, celery and olive oil. I loved it. The sandwich came with a side salad topped with French vinaigrette with tarragon. It was very good. The chicken salad sandwich was not available on the day we visited, so my friend ordered the melted brie sandwich with cranberries and walnuts. My other friend had a Nicoise salad with tuna salad, avocado, egg, red bell peppers, olives and no anchovies. Years ago I visited this restaurant and recall enjoying their food, especially their croissants. I am glad to get reminded about this place. The restaurant is fairly small. Don’t go with a large group of people. There is probably more outdoor seating than indoor seating. I definitely plan to return when in Scottsdale.
I’m really sorry but the foods here are just not for me… the omelette tastes really weird. And dark chocolate tart is disappointing… $55 in total but definitely not worth it…
A friend of ours recommended this Cafe & after having breakfast there this morning we decided that we'll be going back there again for sure, even though it takes us 40 minutes each way.....yes the food is that good!
One of our favorite restaurants, we visit every time we get to Scottsdale. This trip we stopped by for a late lunch. They are usually open until 7 but we were met at the door and told that the kitchen was closed except for soup or quiche - they were having some issues being fully staffed. We weren't up for that, so we declined. We were very nice about it but it seemed that some customers were giving them a hard time. We asked if we could come in to look at the dessert case and as we were looking they packaged up several desserts because of our inconvenience. We love this place, have always had great food and great service at Merci. Hopefully people will start to understand the struggles in the restaurant and food industry right now. Can't wait to get back!
Such delicious food! Everything was so extremely tasty, the service and staff are wonderful, and the aesthetic of the cafe is just adorable - it really makes you feel like you stepped out of Arizona and into France. Highly recommend!
Very brunch like place if you are looking for a breakfast/brunch place. The food/coffee are decent! The onion soup was a bit salty. The benedict was yummy but the salmon crepe wasnt that great. The flavor didnt blend well.
