Their honey lavender latte with their homemade almond milk will ALWAYS be my favorite coffee. If you haven’t tried it yet, you need to! I will drive from anywhere in the city to enjoy their coffee! This has been a staple since moving to AZ & you are missing out if you haven’t been yet!
Great customer service, staff was nice coffee selection was good with many milk options. We ordered a large Americano with light cream and unfortunately the cream was bad as it separated.I had a small latte with oatmilk and we both had blueberry scones. The scones were good a little wet but great flavor.
Visiting Scottsdale, we looked up highly rated roasters / cafes and decided on Maverick. While a bit off the beaten path, my experience is that you sometimes find the best coffee in such places. The ones that are hyped on social media usually are not always the best places. It turned out to be a great choice. I always know what I want, but traveling with family, the lady at the register fielded the many questions from my 9 yr old to adult children patiently and pleasantly. The coffee was quite good, as were the pastries. Overall, a nice start to the day, and worth a return visit whenever in the area.
Skip this place, fancy Dutch bros just not even close to as good. Coffee? I can’t even rate it because I ordered and paid for extra shots and all I got was pure oat milk. $8 oat milk okay. Lame.Update; Seen your response, so you guys chose to discredit my review by trying to say I didn’t come in? I got a strawberry rose (latte?) not sure didn’t say, with an extra shot, with oat milk. I really don’t know why you would say I didn’t come in. Obviously I did. Typical poor business practice trying to discredit an honest review. Here’s what I have to say, I am sorry you didn’t enjoy my review, but I did come in and I didn’t have a great experience. Thank you.
Maverick Coffee is an excellent craft coffee stop. It has a very chill vibe. The coffee beans are fresh. Todays espresso grind was their Chimera Nicaragua blend. The breve cappuccino was delicious as was the latte. We frequent coffee shops across the country. Maverick is one of the best in the valley. Finding amazing craft coffee made my day. If you’re a coffeeholic like me, you will enjoy this desert treat!
Really cute coffee shop, very friendly baristas with great energy, loved the avocado toast!
I was visiting from Albuquerque for work and I was able to go three days in a row. Staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my Espresso and Americano. Thank you for making me feel at home.
I normally put a little half&half in my coffee, but theirs was so good without it that I decided to just drink it black. Very happy with its quality. Not many places are that good.
Remember like everybody they're short staff so be kind to the people who are working. It's a modern coffee shop that is to say it's a shop that has mixed coffee drinks, everything sweet. To me everything begins with coffee. They have some single original coffee none of it dark roast. I was told that they never have any either for sale or there daily offering. I'm an old coffee house guy that looks for basic brew. In the modern world that is pretty hard. Almost no one makes the dark roast anymore light roast is the thing the more citrus flavored the better. Some people are even offering light roast espresso. So everything with oak milk, almond milk and all kinds of flavored syrups. I will give them credit for having their own homemade syrups and there own blend of milk. I get it it's what sells it's what young people like. But for me someone who grew up with Turkish coffee, espresso and dark roast, real newspapers to read and actual conversations about music and politics, the modern style has limited appeal. So with no single origin dark roast brewed coffee available I thought well I will try an expresso and it was soso not smooth and the next day I thought well I'm gonna try a cappuccino and I told them to make it dry and asked them if they knew what that meant and they said yes. I said all it's an espresso with just foam on the top. I said most modern baristas use too much milk in cappuccino and it's more like a latte. The service was fast and of course that's exactly what happened. Not foam but a thick milk, I just sighed to myself, paid, tipped and dumped it on the way out. I mean I understand it's change and as Buddha says everything always changes nothing remains without change. However for me I will continue continue to look for a coffee shop.
I was walking around the shopping center lot at Scottsdale road and Shea and saw this cute Cafe-I really like the name "Maverick". The ambience is really nice with artwork on the walls promoting local artists and a nice meeting room in the back. They have a great selection of traditional and specialty creations. I had a Mocha coffee and it was delicious- best I've had in at least a year and I travel alot. The snickerdoodle sugar cookie was also a winner. Baristas James and Maddy were awesome and service is fast, friendly and accurate. There's alot of coffee shops in The Phoenix metro and Maverick knocks it out of the park making my Arizona top ten ranking. It's kind of hard to find so once you get in the big lot(there is alot of parking)keep an eye out for it on the northeast side of the lot. Highly recommended for drink quality, atmosphere and service.
