I've been here a few times with my parents as it is a favorite of theirs, and the food is always good. My problem today was there was such an excessively loud table of women in the restaurant that we could not even hear each other speak and we could barely hear our waitress. I witnessed one couple come in and sit next to our table, realize the absolute drunken loudness of the table I speak of, and leave after 5 minutes. Would have been a much better time without the overly loud and rowdy table seated very close to us. food was decent and wait staff was good, ambiance was just not there today.
Authentic Mexican food! Good pricing, atmosphere, music. Great place for everyone * singles. Couples, groups). Had a yummy virgin margareta, Fajitas, and the lunch special tacos! Highly recommend.
We were disappointed with the food. The enchiladas were just a pile of melted cheese. The tacos were bland and seemed to be thrown together. Based on the reviews, we expected it to taste like actual Mexican food. It just tasted like something you’d throw together at home. Bland and plain. We will never be back.
The food was tasty but my expectations were higher for the price. There was nothing on the menu that stood out. This was a standard Mexican restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes and found the food ordinary. Would visit again if in the area. No free chip refills.
Great food and staff always consistent
Love Los Olivos. Food is super good, service excellent and drinks are really good. Thank you.
Came in for lunch on a busy Scottsdale afternoon. The restaurant, thankfully, wasn't swamped, and we got seated right away. The building is very interesting in its design, there's something to see everywhere you look. Service was good and the fish tacos I ordered were delicious, 3 in all, and overstuffed with fish. Definitely try the thinner salsa they bring to the table, it has just the right kick of heat. Will definitely visit again next time we're in the area.
First time back since 2019 and the place did not disappoint. a couple of blocks from scottsdale stadium it is on the south side of old scottsdale, kind of tucked away. Seated right away and our server was polite and efficient. The nachos plate was at least 15" in diameter and could feed 3 normal people or one hungry teenage boy. (he could not eat it all) Prices were reasonable and the beer was cold.
To have reverence is to have a deep respect for someone or something. This mural was on the side of a family restaurant in Scottsdale Arizona. One of the original founding families of the town.Eating at the venue almost felt sacred. One of the dining rooms had circle shaped blue opaque windows that glowed from the sun. Walking through the entrance you find portraits of ancestors and old black/white photos. The place was held together by respect and a deeply held tradition to good food.We ordered fajitas, chicken nachos, and fish tacos. The portions were incredible and the service prompt.Right off the main Old Town area, this venue is worth the visit!
I don’t understand the negative reviews, we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. There was a bit of a wait but that is always a good sign. We were seated within 15 minutes and warmly greeted by our waiter. He brought us chips and two types of salsa in small carafes, one was the traditional type and the spiciest of the two. The other was a chipotle style. We found it easiest to pour the salsa directly on the chips, rather than on our plates and scoop it up with the chips. We also ordered the guacamole and chips. The guacamole was delicious! The margaritas were great and our entrees were incredible. We ordered the chicken fajitas which had an wonderful flavor, the two cheese and onion enchiladas and the two shredded beef tacos dinners. The rice and beans were yummy as well as the enchiladas and tacos. We were checked on frequently by various staff members, each of them were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I wish we lived closer, we would visit this restaurant frequently. The other fun thing about this restaurant is the art. If you visit make sure you walk around the restaurant and take it all in.
