We have made regular visits to Loco Patron but tonight will be our last! Service has always been hit or miss but the food is generally good and we’ve overlooked the deficiencies. However tonight was the last straw. Without going into every detail I’ll sum it up that there were six of us and one of the six dinner entrees arrived before our appetizer immediately followed by the remaining entrees before we could even take one bite of the app. Do they not understand the meaning of appetizer or how to space the service. On top of that everyone’s order was incorrect. There were several other issues with our service and the waitress’ poor attitude but not one to make a scene we decided the best way to handle it was to not include a tip. We were charged for an additional app we didn’t order on top of the horrible experience so I felt justified not leaving a tip for the first time in my life. The icing on the cake was after we had already left our waitress Alyssa T came running out of the restaurant screaming at us!! Not just unprofessional but childish if she had simply apologized just once for the utter lack of competency but apparently she is so completely unaware she thinks just showing up is deserving of a gratuity. As a business owner myself I would not tolerate such behavior from an employee.
I ordered tacos, rice and beans, buffalo shrimp, and chicken tortilla soup. The entree was pretty bland but it had potential. The chicken tortilla soup was pretty good but it was wayyyyy too many tortillas in it. I had to pick them out and my plate was almost full of tortillasI liked the decor, ambiance, and the music. It seems like a good place to chill but also turn it up a notch without having it become a club. The server was great and friendly
One of the best Mexican places to eat at in old town Scottsdale! The chips and salsa were good and so were the drinks. I had chicken tacos and they were on point and you have to try the potatoes it was out of this world delicious!!

Update* It's been 4 years since i was here last and it's the same. This place gets busy on the weekends! Good time. I would go back for drinks but the food was below average. Service is poor. We left here after eating half our meal and went to a good restaurant to eat.
Fantastic customer service!!! Our server was excellent. He was prompt, friendly, and attentive; providing some great suggestions. Great patio with televisions to watch all of your favourite sporting events. We are a lot of tacos while in Arizona…these where the best. And the churros!!!! Unreal. You must stop here and enjoy some downtime.

Loco Patron has great outdoor space that is covered from the sun. Great cold beer and very good appetizers. This is not a 5 star place but it is a fun place with good food and very good servers.
