We decided to go to this sushi. As soon as we entered we were told to wait 5 minutes and then sit down.Once seated we were asked for drinks and then we ordered sushi.Sushi was really good, we got 4 rolls all really good. The downside that all the rolls came together and we didn't enjoy the sushi as they wanted trying to savor the flavors.the service was really fast but you should give yourself time to finish one course and then start with the other.Obviously this is my thought ☺️

Sushi night but wanted to avoid the Scottsdale night life crowd and was recommended to try Kodo. The place was busy but it wasn’t too long before we had a table. We ordered edamame to share along with a beer and sake.We also ordered theFinding Nemo RollOMG Roll with fireRainbow RollSuper Crunch Shrimp Roll. Deep friedShockingly the food arrived incredibly fast and it seemed all at the same time. The flavors and freshness were all thereEvery roll was very different from each other which is why we ordered these diverse rolls.Everyone at the table enjoyed them and we all had our own favorite. The OMG roll was wrapped in foil and baked at the table which was fun to watch. It did not hold well together I think because it had so many ingredients. Not sure.Everyone was attentive but it felt hurried.Which is why my rating is 4 stars but could also be 4.5Definitely recommended and going back for more

Awesome from quick courteous waitress to super high quality dishes. Tuna nigiri best we’ve had in town and H3 roll was delightful. The prices were good. That’s the spot now for our family of six. At least for fish.

Lots of sake to choose from. Rolls were beautiful and very good. Flavors were fresh, bold and well balanced. Service was efficient isn’t and friendly.

This is our go to sushi spot in Scottsdale. The service is always good and the food is great. We can't go without ordering the Ahi Tower. It's so delicious! The second thing we always order is the Oh My God Roll. It comes wrapped in aluminum foil. The wait staff will then set it on fire and yell out "OH My God!"...kinda fun. Pro-tip: Join the Yelp waitlist before heading over to save you time as they don't take reservations.

Fresh and absolutely delicious. Been spoiled in San Diego and Hana in AZ when in town, but Kodo is right up there..doing it right.

Not a bad Sushi spot in Scottsdale. Not going out of my way, but if ever in the area, and you need a sushi fix, Kodo should do it.Rainbow roll was delicious. Fish was cut thin which for us is perfect. The Havana Roll (with mango habanero) was just too spicy and we love heat, but there needed to be a balance. The Arizona Roll was pretty good and the edamame was, lol well edamame. The Gyoza was perfect!!!

Kodo sushi is definitely one of those authentic sushi places you can taste it in their food. I love their special rolls like the spider and caterpillar rolls both are very good I also really enjoy their blue rice which kind of comes out properly but it's still really cool. The entrance is a little confusing but once you're in you're in. It was pretty busy today so we took it to go it was about a 40 minute wait which if you think about it isn't that crazy because they were so busy I definitely hope to be getting their sushi again and I think you should try it!

What an AMAZING experience! This is my first time in Arizona and after flying and not eating for 24 hours, there was no better place to refuel my body. I asked the server, Ginny, for a surprise beer and she gave me Orion with a frosty empty mug to pour it into it. Absolutely delicious.I ordered the miso soup with the Gyoza and I finished the whole plate. It was perfectly crispy and filled with the right amount of ingredients.I ordered the Omakase for my entree and it came with multiple variety’s of delicious fish. Sense I was at the bar eating by myself, the head chef, , sparked up conversation with me and asked about my journey here, his ambitious attitude was welcoming and his passion for his craft clearly represented himself. He made the experience an EXPERIENCE which isn’t something you will always get when going to a restaurant.Thank you for making my first meal in Arizona one to remember! I will be back.Best,Garrett S.
