Beautiful grounds, attentive and friendly staff, and peaceful guest casita vibe make this our new favorite Marriott resort. We had two delicious meals at Rita’s Cantina as well. The churros are a must for dessert, and the breakfast buffet is well worth the price per person.
Wonderful resort, great staff, fine restaurants, good swimming pools. We were there for a convention at the end of July 2022. Rooms are individual and distributed around in groups of four or so attached at the sides of each. Only challenge here is to find your way around. Yes, the map helped but it was not enough nor was it clear. Plenty of signs for rooms but still a challenge. The food was served very well; great menu and choices. Pools quite good suggesting that maybe a room right near or next to the main pool would be an advantage. Meeting rooms also quite nice as is the A/V equipment. Really an excellent place; only challenge is finding your way around.
The JW Marriott Camelback exceeded all our expectations! Loved the casitas that provided us with privacy and a beautiful layout/location right across from the Jackrabbit pool where we spent lots of afternoons. Morning golf then to the pool, etc for the day! Had dinner at Rita's twice, amazing food and service and tasty cocktails. The Starbucks on site is an added bonus as is the free laundry. There was nothing about this property that isn't 5 stars. I'd stay here again anytime and probably will!
Definitely recommend, the location is amazing, even for July. What stood out was/is the hospitality. It was beautifully contagious. From hotel staff to guests, just the simple greetings was enough for me.
Could not shower! The water would only come out in hot and really hot. Apparently, because of the way their water pipes are laid they bake during the day which significantly raises the water temperature. So getting the shower to be cool or even just warm was simply not an option. That’s a big deal to me. We were in room 100 and I don’t know if this problem is unique to just those rooms, or if it’s all around the place. But a scalding hot shower at the end of the day is NOT what I expect.There is also a playground right across from the room we were staying in. It looks like a decent playground but it isn’t shaded. So that means it can only be used during the winter in this city. Why have it if you can’t use it?The room was very nice, the staff were all very nice. I ate lunch at the cantina and I really enjoyed the short rib torta. If I could have showered, my rating would have been higher.
The hotel is so comfortable and welcoming, very clean, the staff are amazing and helpful, everyone was very nice and accommodating and easy to talk to when I needed something. The pool area is beautiful and the grounds are nice to walk around. The hotel is also very historic and I enjoyed walking around the lobby building and seeing all the pictures if the Camelbak Inn through the decades. Absolutely stay here, its beautiful!
Professional friendly staff, really beautiful resort with pool, spa and fitness centre. The ballrooms are very pretty with big windows so the inside area doesn't feel claustrophobic.The cleanliness of the rooms could be better. Some of the shelves and window ledge was dusty and seemed like it wasn't properly cleaned. The walls of the room also have this dated popcorn paint, which looks ugly and scraps and scratches at you if you walk too close to the wall.

Fantastic property…a very unique JW with a nice dessert feel. Each casita is unique and the accommodations are very different than most hotels. The split level rooms are super spacious and nice, the suites with balcony are outstanding and also the suites with a walkout balcony are nice. The bathrooms are spacious with nice showers and double vanity.The breakfast at Rita’s is exceptional!!!
Frank was amazing. He was personable, friendly and really gave us a unique experience. He also shared some great history of the resort and you can tell he is passionate about his worth. He even took the time to get to know us more which was so cool! I can’t wait to visit again. Also Suzi was so great as well. She was attentive and personable and very knowledgeable about the menu. She kept checking in on us and excellent suggestions always with a smile on her face and a happy attitude . Top notch service. I appreciated it so much!
