Fantastic dinner. It's worth the price and the drive. We came from Queen Creek. I ordered the duck fried rice and my husband got the macaroni and cheese. So good! And we ordered the date cake. So light and slightly sweet. I really enjoyed the texture of the cake itself. Great evening! We'll be back
An unassuming location in the back of a suburban Scottsdale Mall has this amazing restaurant flying under the radar. The decor is clean and hip. The wait staff young, friendly and very knowledgeable about both the food and beverages on the menu. As a group of “mature” patrons we were made to feel welcome and the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. The food is inventive and excellently prepared. The stand outs are the Duck fried rice, Italian Beef, crab hush puppies and chicken liver mousse. It was so good that our travelling companions went back several nights later. The prices are reasonable
Really good. It doesn't look like much from the parking lot but this place is worth checking out for sure. Great food and cocktails too!
This place is a hidden gem of an upscale culinary experience but without the pretentiousness. The location in a strip mall (plaza) makes them nearly invisible. The layout and design elements are simple and welcoming. Nearly half of their seating capacity is at their long stretching bar. Behind the bar is an open kitchen where their chefs work their magic. The place was packed and oozing with high energy and sounds. The menu consists of some very unique renditions of classic dishes across various international cuisines. The is a wide variety of appetizers, which would make a great tapas style meal option. We started with an order of their langoustines and the jambalaya. Both were full of flavor and tasty. For our entrées we had the Sonoran Pasta alla Genovese, Bucatini alla Puttenesca, and the Italian Beef. All of these dishes were very creative representations of their classic namesake. Everything was full of flavor and excellently prepared and platted with care. The service was great and all of their staff were operating at full throttle the whole time we were there. I think this would make a great date night destination and definitely should be on every foodie's must-visit list. I suggest strongly to make reservations. Before dinner, stop in at their companion tap room bar next store.
My friend recommended this restaurant for a birthday dinner mid week. I was chocked at how busy they were. Fun people watching, great service and excellent food. Unusual menu. Will come back...
This pace offers a cool, intimate vibe. The duck fried rice is amazing but the crab hushpuppies they promote not so much. We tried quite a bit and it was 50/50 on the food but we appreciated the intimate atmosphere.
Absolutely amazing. The duck fried rice brought us back less than 7 days later. The date cake dessert is perfect. Highly recommend!
I thought the food was good but not great. A few of the dishes seemed a bit off. We felt the grilled octopus dish had too many ingredients so took away from the flavor profile of the main ingredient. However the fresh pasta was very good. I felt the prices were a little bit high for what you got in comparison to similar restaurants. It was nice to try but we will not be revisiting.
Amazing food! The atmosphere of the restaurant was very minimal but the focus was all on the amazing food. I saw some mixed reviews about food being salty, but I found it to be tastefully seasoned. The server was very helpful and extremely mindful of our dietary needs too. Fantastic place!
The place was pretty busy. Reservations are a good idea. Service was outstanding. Nice drinks and everyone was friendly. The food is small plates meant for family-style dining-I really think that is brilliant. Very interesting menu with lots of fun choices. But, watch out-you will fill up fast because it's so much fun we found our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Duck fried rice is a must, fried cauliflower is a must, mussels were great even though they were cooked in more of a tomato based broth than the normal celery broth, gnocchi was good, baked mac and cheese was just O.K. and the chicken liver mousse was sort of flavorless.
