I went here 3 nights ago and I am still thinking about the food!!! Baja fish tacos were lifechanging, the best I’ve ever had and the painkiller drink was just amazing!!! Service was slower but the food and drink definitely made up for it! Coming back as soon as I can
Ahi Tuna Eggs Benedict for brunch does not disappoint. Mai Tai was excellent too
It was my second time visiting Hula but my second visit wasn’t as impressive as first time. hula only served happy hour drinks on weekdays so we had to order food at regular prices. I was kind disappointed that the poke was served like somebody’s leftover - the portion was small and also there was sauce on the sides of the bowl so presentation was just lacking. Calamari was nice but small portion for the price too.Drinks are overall satisfactory.I would recommend people to visit here on weekdays.
The atmosphere is awesome of course! Came in with a reservation of 11 people. The food was decent, we tried almost all the apps during happy hour. The calamari had an odd texture being in strips but the kabobs were good. I have the pork tacos. Lots of meat! Giving it a 4 because the drinks were good, but mostly ice and the server we had wasn't attentive and we found our table full of empty plates and cups for some time. Definitely worth a visit.
My wife and I had lunch at Hula's Modern Tiki during a recent visit to Scottsdale. We liked the menu and it's not your typical Arizona fare, so we decided to try it. It was a pretty good experience. We didn't have reservations, but we were seated pretty quickly. We wanted to eat light so my wife had the Island Style Poke bowl and I had the Hilo Sliders sampler. Both were pretty good. The two sliders with meat (burger and pork) were cooked pretty well, which some people might not like. For the sliders, the only options are the sampler with one of each, or 3 of the same. Our server (Doug?) was very good, and the prices were reasonable. There were lots of interesting options on the menu, so we'll be back for dinner or a larger lunch on a future visit to try some of the other items.
Ahi tuna tacos are great and so fresh. Lunch time was not busy at all and the service was fast and friendly! Would recommend for solo or those with families
I have to say personally that the food in this restaurant are delicious. We went as a group and ordered all the appetizers on the menu and all of it was delicious. I will definitely come here again and I definitely recommend ??
When in Scottsdale, Hula's is a must! The Mai Tai is as advertised: not too sweet...perfect. But the PAINKILLER: DEElish! Spicy Thai fish cakes with an amazing sauce and the pork sliders were fantastic. Go on Wednesday for all-night happy hour!
Even though the restaurant was not taking reservations, our group of 8 was seated after a short 15 minute wait. The food and drinks were delicious - definitely recommend the mai tai!
Wow! Another great spot added to our list! The drinks and food is fantastic! Cool, relaxed atmosphere, outstanding service! The spicy seaweed salad was great, The Samurai Beef Sticks, and the Surfrider Chicken Sticks were DELICIOUS! Definitely coming back!
