Great sushi place, fast service and fresh fish! Not every place has uni, they do, it was nice and fresh!

Like really! Have enjoyed Sushi in many parts of the world. This restaurant is as good as any. Unassuming strip mall location(think hole in the wall). Such good people even better food. Just go!! Live a little, enjoy life!
This is the best sushi place in Arizona, imo. It's a cozy, intimate spot. The sushi is fresh, and beautifully crafted. The staff is all so friendly and gracious. We had a decent sized party and we always had food on our table. I had a wonderful experience, and amazing food. Definitely recommend!
Always a great spot to grab food on date night. Consistent, excellent quality. Diverse menu offers authentic and western takes on sushi.Only downside is they do not take reservations, so expect a wait on Friday and Saturday night.
Was looking forward to nice sushi during quarantine but was completely let down with the quality of food especially for the price. $70 for cold chicken teriyaki and warm sashimi is a hard pass.Hiro sushi, do better.And for people with nut allergies, they use nuts in their mayo…never heard of that before.Edit: my friend who picked up the food just told me he had to wait an extra 15min because they forgot to make the sushi along with the teriyaki chicken. Brutal.
Some of the best sushi I have had in all of Arizona! Quite small and very busy but well worth any wait!
Absolutely impeccable service and presentation. Almost every dish was prepared in front of us by a single chef. It was intimate in all the right ways. Top recommendations include the crunchy spicy tuna (pictured) - served first - and the mushroom soup - served last.

This is our second visit to this wonderful restaurant! We were here over the summer and decided to return to Scottsdale for Thanksgiving break! It may be a small eatery but the service is quick and friendly. We are always on the hunt for delicious and fresh chirashi. Hiro sushi did not disappoint. We loved their agedashi tofu, the baby octopus, and also their tempura. The sushi rice has so much flavor! We will definitely come back again for our next visit.
