The Roast beef sandwich is something crazy! Everything looks delicious. Excellent service. Good prices. Definitely I’ll come back
Guidos is the perfect spot for a quick and delicious lunch. It’s quaint and yet it even has a small Italian market to pick up things you may need. The sandwiches are deli perfection and don’t disappoint.
Waitress was rude. I asked for the crust to be well doneShe said," We cook it the way we cook it!" The crust was great. No sauce, no meat, mostly veggies. Won't be back.
This is a quaint Italian grocery and restaurant. The place is on the smaller side but large in charm. The walls are decked out with Chicagoland memorabilia and the dozen or so tables for dining are stuffed in amongst the grocery shelves. They have a huge deli counter with a lot of cold cuts and take home meal options. The place was buzzing with activity and the staff were all very pleasant. When we saw chicken wings on the menu, we couldn't help ourselves and started there. These wings were off the charts awesome. They were big wing parts cooked perfectly and the Buffalo sauce was very rich and very different than any we've had. Excellent wings - and I don't say that often. Our main course choices were spaghetti and meatballs and the eggplant parmesan. Unfortunately, both dishes came drenched in very watery tomato sauce. Just very soupy and flavorless sauce that didn't stick to the pasta. The eggplant was sitting in a bed of water and was just barely above room temperature. Other than being wet and cold, the flavor was good. The staff responded quickly to replace my meal - which I took home to discover the sauce wasn't much better. We wanted, desperately, to have a better experience here. The service was great. We hope to return for another try. We did leave with bags full of the grocery items that I just had to take home! Nice little Italian place.
Decided to stop one evening for dinner and I’m glad I did. Old School Chicago style Italian spot. Tons of bears, bulls and cubs memorabilia on the walls. With a great selection of pasta meats and cheese to go. Had an Italian beef combo dish which was excellent, friends had seafood and salads that all looked good too. Will be back soon.
What a gem. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is amazing. Our waitress Onni is one of a kind. She made our experience 10 star worthy. The rest of the staff that came to our table were also very pleasant and personable. Thank you Guido's for a great meal and even better evening.
I ordered the eggplant Parmesan dinner to go it was phenomenal nice big portion side salad and garlic bread. I've ordered it there before and specifically went there for that. I've yet to try one of the sandwiches but I'm sure it'll be good next time
1st timer! Found staff to be nice and accommodating. I got a turkey sub, fresh roll and ingredients...maybe a little more turkey would have been nice. Also had the broasted fries. Very good. I'll definitely go back.
Great friendly service, Awesome food.
Pizza was fine meat and sauce didn’t have much flavor. Lasagna was small and bland even in diner size. Got a salad as well and asked for balsamic dressing. Got balsamic vinegar asked if they had balsamic vinaigrette dressing they didn’t know what that was. So said okay can I have oil then to go with vinegar and I never got it. The food is fine but not anything special. No defalcos for sure.
