Grimaldi’s is always a favorite for my family when they visit Scottsdale. Great food, good, wine, and atmosphere.
I have eaten here twice and enjoyed it each time. The atmosphere is very Welcoming. I plan to come here again soon.
We ordered takeout through DoorDash and it was our only restaurant mistake while visiting Scottsdale. We ordered a traditional pizza with extra sauce, meatballs sausage jalapeño artichoke and 2 sauce on the side. Also ordered a spinach salad. The site asked if we wanted plates/silverware - yes. Delivery was not a problem. The pizza had zero sauce on it….like NO sauce….just dried out meatballs/sausage. They gave us a DRY pizza with 2 cups of sauce??!? Who does that? The sauce wasn’t even good. The salad was very good. But no plates or silverware. Total disappointment. We frequent Grimaldis is Vegas and have never had a bad meal/or experience there.
This place has a really cool Vibe! Red/white checked table cloths, wine bottle lights and open kitchen with a great view of the pizza ovens. Staff was very friendly, service was great and pizza was fantastic! Would absolutely recommend for a good quick coal fired pizza! 16” was perfect for 2 people.
My husband and I are renting a condo this week above this tempting restaurant. The first night we ordered 2 pizzas and literally feel in LOVE. The customer service is exceptional. The owner is really sweet. The atmosphere is very nice. Prices are good. So we decided to order salads the second night. I ordered a Chicken Cesar salad and my husband got cold feet and decided to order from another local restaurant across the street. Boy, should I have done the same . Got my food. The salad had no chicken in it. So I went back down stairs and explained the issue. Abigail brought back a small amount of chicken in a container wrapped in aluminum foil. I ordered a LARGE salad ?. I didn’t make a fuss. I thought ?, it’s ok I’ll make it work. Got in the condo and opened the container to dried out tiny strips of chicken jerky. ???? I went back down stairs this time Abigail got the manager. He came over and kindly addressed my needs sending me on my way with what I thought was “better chicken.” The new chicken was dry and flavorless too but it didn’t resemble jerky this time. I thought to myself it’s ok, who needs Protien anyway?!? I poured my “Cesar dressing” on my chicken less salad and took a bite. The dressing was unique. None like I’ve ever tasted. It was not Cesar dressing at all???. I was out of my $12 + no chicken nor proper dressing. Left with lettuce ???. Just order pizza, that’s what they do best!
I highly recommend Grimaldi's when visiting Scottsdale AZ. I think the pizza was some of the best I have ever eaten! The atmosphere was great for families with children. The red and white checkered table clothes and white napkins brought me back to my childhood of a pizzeria my parents used to take me to. Our server was excellent. Great place to eat in Old Town.
Waited almost 2 hours for delivery. Cold pizza. Missing pepperoni, black olives and mushrooms. Tried calling immediately upon delivery, and they’re closed so no one answered. Guess we’ll try again tomorrow when they open and try to get a refund. Worst $20 ever.
Food was good. Service was very slow.
Great pizza, friendly staff, fast service. Quality is important here. The manager came out to tell us one of the pizza’s was gonna take a bit longer as it came out of the oven a bit to dark so they where preparing a new one.
We went here because we heard the pizza was really good. And it was. The reason I rated it poor is that we ordered an IPA and we were told they were out of that particular IPA. Ok we’ll order a different one. They were out of that one too. Really??? Then my daughter ordered a Blue Moon on tap and was told the bartender was having difficulty tapping the keg. My daughter, who works part time as a bartender, even offered to help! We never did get that beer. Maybe the bartender is still struggling! Water and pizza. Not what we were craving.
