The food was pretty good. The service was very good. I had the pasta that you see in the picture. I'm not sure what it was called. I usually just go in and tell the waiter to bring me the best thing they have. I would have rather had the veal or the Lamb with the pasta but I told him to bring me whatever he thought was best so that's what I got.
This place is outstanding in everything! Anthony was the best server and the food was more than outstanding. My husband had gnocchi’s in red sauce and I had penne shrimp. The shrimp was huge larger than in Cabo. The food and service is the best.
Wonderful home-made, authentic, delicious food! Had my Italian Mother with us and she absolutely loved it and also gave a 5 star review. Warm hospitality once you get in and are seated. ? If you love Italian and are in Scottsdale this is a must go!
Franco is an absolute legend. Had the honor of meeting him on my last trip to Scottsdale. He really takes care of his customers. 10/10 experience, 10/10 service, 10/10 food.
I walked in with my boyfriend who is African American. The hostess said to him “are you sure you want to eat here?” Then what I believe to be a patron walked up to us and said “welcome to Franco’s. And I’m white!” Racism is alive and well at Franco’s. It looked boring anyway. We went elsewhere and had more fun and no discrimination. Sad. Get with the times, people.
Spent a wonderful evening dining at Franco's for our anniversary. We so much enjoyed meeting Franco he is such a warm and charming person. The food was outstanding and service to match. Our server Derek did an outstanding job explaining the menu options and answering any questions we had during our meal. He never made us feel rushed and he gave us the right amount of attention without hovering. If you want a little bit of Tuscan charm in a romantic setting with great food and excellent service Franco's Italian Cafe hits the mark.

We celebrated my birthday at Franco’s and as usual it was a superb blend of delicious food and excellent service. Franco started us out with La Marca Prosecco perfect for celebrating and went so well with our appetizers of grilled red pepper with fresh anchovies, fresh burrito topped with caviar on thinly sliced tomatoes and sweet cantelope melon with lean prosciutto. Our dinner consisted of sharing the night’s special; Penne Pisano with house made ground sausage with a light cream sauce. Absolutely delicious! It went well with the wine we chose a Montepulciano which is a dry dark red. For main courses I had the veal chop perfectly cooked and tender grilled and topped with a light mushroom sauce. My husband had the rack of lamb. Both came with sides; sautéed spinach and diagonally cut carrots. My veal chop also came with a grilled potato and my husband’s lamb came with grilled polenta. We finished the night with espresso (made like they make it in Italy) and a delectable treat; chocolate merenghata. It was the perfect evening. Franco’s will always be our favorite restaurant.
