The best patty melt in old town!

Cool little spot great bartender and service. Prices are good. Parking can be tricky if you don't get there early. Nice clean bathrooms great atmosphere

The staff here are ridiculous. Instead of paying attention to what's actually going on around them, they think they can be rude to you for no apparent reason, when you call them out on it they just say hoo dee bluh blah you're out!! For real? What a joke, honestly nothing to do here anyway. Go somewhere that's actually worth your time, because this place is not it.

Recently came here for the first time with my buddy. Both of us were treated very rudely for seemingly straightforward things. My buddy got a snarky remark for asking for a menu after getting his water guess he should have told the bartender he wanted both because the bartender certainly did not like walking back to get it and made my friend know that. But it just didn't stop there. The atmosphere is nice and the bathrooms are clean so that's a plus although it could be a bit more polished. However, none of that really matters. What matters to me is how rude the wait staff were or the lack thereof. There were just a few bartenders and no servers. My negative experience started when a bartender poured me a glass of beer that took way longer than it should have. The place was obviously understaffed and it became ever so evident when I watched as the distracted bartender continuously poured and repoured my drink as he realized how much foam was in it. When he served it to me he spilled it all over the glass as well and when I said something I was treated so disrespectfully I thought I was talking to my mother-in-law. Apparently at DJ's the customer is always wrong because that is how it's supposed to be served. Oh, but it didn't stop there because when I went to order a second beer I asked "What IPA's do you have" but according to DJ's, that is just too many questions. Alas, I was cut off from ordering. The only saving grace was the Hispanic man who worked in the kitchen. The nicest guy and was super awesome when I asked him questions about the menu. Very patient and friendly. I wish he ran the entire bar. I love dive bars and really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, I will never be coming back :( If you are looking for a great bar to kick back and drink a few beers with your buddies, go somewhere else!!!

After this past Thursday's football game we got back to Scottsdale and were looking for a place to grab some quick food and a couple drinks. As we walked up to the entrance, security at the door told us that he wasn't going to allow our group in because some of our group was "clearly intoxicated" according to him. We thought he was joking as we were in Packers attire. He was not. Then we asked him to point out which of the people in our group were "clearly intoxicated" which he could not because no one was. We argued a bit as there was plenty of empty space inside and he said it was the owner's policy. Then as we left another group of Packer fans were told the same thing. What a joke of a business model when you refuse service to people based on the team they follow.

Day drinking and I'm thinking of Jonesy....wonderful unpretentious refuge (with Football)!

It's a dive bar in an area filled with bars closer to the club scene. Set your expectations accordingly. It was clean, reasonably priced, and the beer was cold.

Always a fun time at Dj’s

Awesome local watering hole
